Vaal Recovery Lance suggestions.
http://mhworld.tabletopgeeks.com/?build=6||1|74|0|0|5|0|0||30|39|0|0||87|38|38|55||87|38|38|38||85|71|36|36||67|63|0|0||61|

Can anyone give me any suggestions on something better to put in the Legs?
This is my take on the "The Ultimate Shield" I found a few days ago (Vid in the bottom of post). I figured that by fitting the Might charm instead of Ironside, you could bring in some more DPS to the build, but of corse this means you end up needing 5 Ironwall jewels instead of just the 2 (they are as Rare as Attack Boost Jewels).

Does Anyone know anything better to stick in it? or is the Damascus Greeves really the best option?
I see some really nice Gamma options, but I don't think most of those are released yet (Gamma Vaal boots would be Perfect).

This is what I recommend, and is what I'm using.

You have both the Vaal and Lunastra set bonuses, and plenty of Jewel slots to build whatever skills you want. Also Built-in Health Boost 2, so getting Health Boost 3 is just one jewel away.

In case you don't know, Lunastra set bonus increases your Stamina Cap by +50, so you have more Stamina for guarding and charging.

You can either try to do something with the built-in Dragon Attack +2, or you can just ignore it.

I really like that, It looks like you can actually fit alot more on it than My own as well. Though it seems Super Deco dependent as awell.

Yes, its very Deco dependant. It wasn't so hard for me to build because I've been using early variations of this build since launch, back when I only had access to Vaal B and no Lunastra. I've been slowly modifying and improving it over time as new stuff has come out.

Although, I'd recommend replacing that Recovery Speed jewel with Recovery Up instead.

Recovery Speed helps with Red Health, but if you drink an Immunizer your Red health will fully regenerate within 3 seconds anyway.

Recovery Up on the other hand will buff ALL sources of healing, including Health Regen Augment on weapons and Vaal's Super Recovery set bonus.

Recovery Speed doesn't effect Vaal's set skill?

OHHHH! Wait, you're saying Up includes everything, while Speed only effects the passive regain.

Yes and no, let me explain.

Recovery Speed only affects Red Health recovery. It doesn't affect anything else.

Recovery Up affects all heals EXCEPT Red Health recovery. And Vaal's Super Recovery is considered a Heal, not Red Health recovery.

So, look at it this way. Recovery Speed helps with Red Health while you have it.

While Recovery Up helps with everything else, including potions, Health Regen Augment on weapons, Vaal's Super Recovery, heals from Nergi set bonus (or Luna/Nergi weapon), and heals from someone else with Wide-Range or Hunting Horn heal.

??? Are you sure about that? I could have sworn I've seen a notisble diffrence from Vaal's heal, with Recovery Speed +3 vrs 2. I could be wrong, obviouslly, I've not gotten to test it out much, but still.
Though I get what you're saying about Recovery Up.

Yes, this interaction has been tested and proven to function this way since the original launch on Consoles.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunter/comments/7ymuzd/recovery_up_vs_speed_and_vaal_hazaks_set/

Vaal's Super Recovery is actually treated as a Heal, not Red Health recovery. So if you want to buff Vaal's Super Recovery, then Recovery Up is the skill you want, not Recovery Speed.

That being said, Recovery Speed can be useful if you don't want to run Immunizers. I just like to run Immunizers so I almost never have Red Health, and thus Recovery Up is worth a lot more to me than Recovery Speed.

O7 Got you. And I guess if you're running an Leech Augment on your weapon too, Recovery Up will Boost that as well, making your red Heal pretty fast anyway, as long as you're attacking.

Yupz. The Health Regen (Leech) Augment on weapons is a game changer.

I run it on all of my weapons, even on my HBG where it sucks, because there's nothing else in the game that gives me the same survivability as regenerating health while attacking.

Thanks!
This is my final "End" Goal it looks like, then.
I'm sure that there are more things that could be tweaked, but I like how it looks so far.
