is there a way to arrange ammo in hunts?
so I just started playing with the guns yesterday and noticed that the ammo for them seem to be out of order. To me, at least :c I rearranged them before hunts in the item box but they're not in the order I initially thought I put them. For example, I put spread ammo from 3,2,1 so that if I run out of the current type I'd easily go lower to continue shooting but it doesnt to seem to look like it. I'd find myself trying to look for another ammo type instead while risking getting hurt.

It's just like organizing your items in your item pouch and then on your bar or radial. In a hunt you can hit Esc and then go to Item Pouch. Hit Space to bring up your bar. From there you can either manually adjust where you want items on the bar or auto-sort using "C" key. To adjust your ammo from that point you either hit the "Q" or "E" key and again manually sort or auto-sort using the "C" key.

^ This is what you're referring to and not just sorting your main Item Pouch away from your Item Box in a hunt, right?

Once you have it sorted you'll want to go to your Item Box at some point when you have it squared away and save the whole thing as a loadout so you don't have to do it all the time. Loadouts fall under Manage Items and they help save a lot of time plus they'll save your Customized Radial menu if you did that as well from Esc.

Did you go into the item pouch to rearrange them as you can your items? There's one for items and one for ammos.

yeah its something i keep forgetting to look into, i think you can arrange ammo to an extent. its not like the old days where it starts you on normal 1 shot and has it all pre ordered based on what it is and its shot level.

if there is a sure fire way to do that, can it also be done with items in the scroll bar? tired of having to lay a trap and then DIG for the tranq thats half way across the item bar.

Just to be clear. You mean the bag one right? Where you just click item pouch? I meant for scrolling. You can re-arrange ammo scroll the same way you arrange your item scroll.

Item Pouch > Item Bar > Ammo/Coatings
Arrange it to your liking and save the item loadout.

You can rearrange the item bar as you like but it's much, much better to use the radial menu, especially for ammunition. It takes a few minutes to set up but it'll be very worth it in the long run.

the problem is that when you run out of a certain ammunition, it leaves an empty space in your inventory, which is what makes the bullets all out of order.

when you open your item pouch, press ESC and you can save an ITEMS LOADOUT of your organized items/bullets.

once you finish arranging your bullets in the order you like, save the loadout.

When you load the loadout later, the bullets will always be in this order again.

as a bowgunner, i always make this a habit after every hunt. save a bullet/item loadout depending on the type of bowgun you use.

hope this helps.
