Ok I'm starting to get irritated, Majestic Horn bugged or something

It says on the monster field guide in the game that High Rank Diablos if you break it's horns it drops Majestic Horn, which I need a couple of them for a weapon upgrade. Yet I keep killing it and it keeps dropping twisted horns the normal drop. What the hell?

It's a rare chance even if both horns are broken, same with black spiral horns. Why they made it so that twisted horns still drop on HR diablos I have no clue

Make sure you're breaking BOTH horns, otherwise it's only the regular drop. Even then, it's only 8% chance.+ 14-18% if it's an investigation hunt.

I hope your collecting tracks for investigations cause those help much more than optional quest for it.

try running kirin/legina build and cap diablo with the two broken horn

Yeah I'm hunting it on the investigation and I'm breaking both, I break both within the first minute of the fight.

if you dont have gold/silver reward investigations then just run solo, break horns, and return from quest.

It's a rare drop even if you break the horns.

As always, for getting rare monster parts, you'll want to be increasing your chances of getting those rare parts by running investigations of it with silver/gold rewards.

you can run parttaker 3, jump in the quest, break both horns and quit. you get the horns as reward, with 60% or so chance for majestic horns.
so you can farm all the horns you need in some minutes.

^^^This is a best way to get your Majestic Horn, do not wait until you complete the investigation, because the dumb system will randomly (MOST OF THE TIME) give your twisted horn. You can use this method to farm any monsters that required their horn in crating which is A LOT in this game lol.

If you are only focused on horns you could break them and then leave the quest (not abandon) you will still get the bonus drops from breaks, only really worth it imo if you can break them 2x~4x faster than you can kill Diablos since rewards boxes on investigations are not a bad source, if you are aiming to leave use an optional quest.
