Bow Users Mini Rant
Before anyone gets offended, yes I know that the bow can be a really good weapon. And I won't deny that.

However, I do a lot of tempered elders and recently I've seen an increase of bow users in my investigations and most of the time when someone carts it's the bow user. Failed several 3-4 box tempered elders today now because of a bow user using all carts ranging from 1-3. If you've carted twice on a 3 faint tempered investigation, maybe you should consider playing a little bit less aggressive or managing your stamina better.

Just play solo then.
A man's hunger is a powerful thing. Once bow mains have a taste of getting massive dee-pee-asssssss, they'll forget that their lack of physical protection makes them soft and squishy
Carry them with widerange.

Ah the typical response. My issue isn't with multiplayer in particular, I understand that when you have more people in your party there's a higher chance of faints. My particular issue is that it's usually a bow user that faints. As for your just play solo, I don't always have 3/4 box tempered elders, so when I don't I join in on an SOS and collect some tracks after they move to the next area or die.

SnS is one of the weapons I haven't really tried yet. Recently picked up hammer and IG after doing 500 quests with HBG/LBG combined.

Fair enough, but carting is even worse dee pee ass ;)
I do notice bow guys carting more frequently, those and the dagger guys. I use bow myself so it's fairly easy to see if a mistake is made.

They don't use power shots, or use it at the wrong time, or dash into the monster. That's not their fault somethimes, It's happened to me more than once where I pressed back and the hunter dashed towards or to the side which is a bad thing when you're kiting.

Generally the people who do cart when I SoS tempered are GS and daggers. If I see a team that I see is going to be trouble, I swap out bows and play support. IF i know a hunt is going to be problematic, I will use a vocher and hope players have the better sense to eat for moxie but it seems that practice isn't very common on PC...

Yea sometimes it's just a matter of badluck, but when it's several carts in a row it does get a little bit irritating. Also I don't run into DB's too often so I can't really say how much they cart. Not saying that I'm a perfect hunter either, I make mistakes, sometimes cart as well. Just had to vent a little bit after failing a couple of investigations in a row.

If you are too weak to lift your own bum, don't count on me hauling it over any obstackle.
I'm a Bow user since de the begining, and i'm agree with you, they need to take their time... no more.

Honestly it's usually p2p and bad connection s. But even league/dots deals with this it's not just cuz they suck. Honestly even with a good def /hp build rubber banding can 1 but kill you. You could you know play with friends.. Problem solved. Usually the foreign names are a good sign they will die alot
As a bow user, I use wide range in a Dragon piercer build. I have the Guts set bonus from bezelgoose armor so i dont get 1 shotted when i make a mistake. I saved so many 1 faint tempered elder quests from failing, while still doing the most dmg myself.

You're just running into people who are probably still learning.
Just a couple of info.

-Whereas melee users have physical damage defense bonus that helps a lot.
Bow users have a useless elemental damage bonus that is as said useless since any elemental attack will get you carted anyway

-despite that as a ranged weapon you still need to stay extremely near to the monster but not too close.
This changes monster behavior a lot

-you also have to hit tiny weakspots often requiring you to aim at face (not head face or even mouth) putting you in the most risky spot

-somtimes you get stumbled there from a dual blade users and die :|

Did you check their stats after they carted once and rejoined the battle? Most likely, they didnt even bother to max out their health before coming in again, which is I dunno weird practice in this game...

Actually mained HBG/LBG for about 500 quests and didn't switch to melee until recently so I know how a monster reacts to ranged users. I think it's more of an issue of poor stamina management or using dragon piercer at the wrong times. Regardless, this was more of a venting post since I got a bit annoyed after a couple of failed investigations, however it's been half a day roughly and I'm no longer annoyed.

Nah I usually don't bother since I'm just focussing on taking down the monster. As for eating, I usually see one or two party members eating at the camp, don't know if they check for appropriate skills/health boost though. I usually just go for best skill or large attack boost, if it doesn't get me to max health I just pop a max potion and use armorskin + demondrug.

This could one of the main reason. After they got carted once, they lose all their buffs including max 150 health. For some reason, most of the randoms I met loved to come back in with 100 health and more often than not, got carted the second time.
