Is Purgation's Atrocity or Catastrophe's light anygood?

My main is a longsword, and I have the reaver calamity for it, so it dont see the need for the extermination's edge. I have the xeno horns for it, and I am looking to try greatswords.

Or should i try insect glavies and get the catastrophe's light?

Looking for a different type of gameplay to mix things up.

Play all weapons and find what you like. Most of the weapons are good anyway and if you like to play in the meta you can change them later if you like the playstyle.

Pretty much all Nerg weapons that I can think of are very solid choices as weapons. They don't deal the max possible damage or have the potential to reach white sharpness, but you can never go wrong with one for any melee tree. I personally love all Nerg melee weapons since I don't have to invest in sharpness to get the most out of them

Nergigante weapons are extremely good for the transition from HR to tempered, but no its far to t be the strongest but it does the job.

later you will end using stuff like deviljho/vaal for dragon damage becouse white sharpness and yada yada.

IG play really different from ground vs air, ground benefits more from raw and air from elemental so have that on mind if you go just diablos.
