Possible to play offline mode?
Basically Id like to go at it solo for awhile and get some experience, armor and weapons, however I don't want to have things spoiled too soon by seeing other players running around in their high level armor in some kind of player hub, is there a way to go offine or alternatively can I not go in the players hub where you see everyone else and still play the game normally?

You can set up the room to yourself only and play by yourself. Its up to you.

You don't have to go to a Hub to do your quests. For story you can do them from your little town area. As for doing "online"/ arena quests, yeah you can just host for yourself and make it private.

You can keep your immersion going fine.

You won't see players at all unless you specifically join their hunts or go into the Gathering Hub. Astera itself isn't a co-op zone.

Yes to both. You can either start up a private session or just avoid the gathering hub.

So I can just progress the game normally doing that? If I go to any of the outside area's will it be just me?

since i havn't play the PS4 version, so idk about multiplayer things in MHW
but since it's steam
this might work for you
just go play normally, after you in the menu, just switch to offline in steam
pretty much it will disconnect your online capability within steam network IMO

or you can go to youtube, and search how the multiplayer in MHW works
:bite:

and AFAIK, this is not MMO, so you won't have contact with other player instantly, you need to make a party with them first, if you want to play online / go to the gathering hub

You do need to "create a session" if you're connected to the internet but you can set it to private. (that's the case on PS4 at least)

Yes, this is in every monster hunter game.

Yes it will be just you, the quests you post from the village where no players will be seen will go into the areas just for you. No other players involved(unless you want them to be with the flare but you dont have to).

Monster Hunter has always had the offine areas and online areas aka lobbies seperate, its the same here. And bar the very first game, you don't require being online to do ALL the "online" quests but a connection is nice to grab the events and the like.

If you desire, you can solo the ENTIRE game.

I've seen in a video that you are able to play offline whenever you don't have any internet connection at all, it's just that they want you to see the new event quests and get your login bonus, so you have to create a lobby otherwise.
