Hello what's the top tier class for solo/group?
I'd like to play with bow and double blade

First misconception: There are no such things as classes in Monster Hunter, ever.

Bow is a solid ranged weapon to learn from, but personally Double Blades are tough for beginners balancing out when to attack and when to dodge.

there are no classes.
So every weapons is fine for late game in solo&group?

Every weapon type is viable in the end game yes.

there's a tier list based on clear speed, but it's more of a... let's just say that some AAA weapons kill a monster in 3 minutes, and C ranked weapons in 4. it's only important if you're trying to time trial the game. otherwise, good positioning, equipment and knowledge of the monster's moveset will get you through endgame and beyond with all weapons.

beginner-wise, I recommend just picking the weapon you think it's coolest. many recommend sword and shield or longsword, but tbh if you don't like swords why bother? all weapons are easy to learn, hard to master. go for the one you like the most. try them all out.

You can play Wizzard, is the best high DPS and AoE of Effect

Ye, AoE that beast.

A small focus on longblade: beware that in multiplayer, it can be a nightmare if not played properly, as you can stagger friends if you don't aim correctly. Can really piss people off, and lead them to death!

Monster Hunter is the best class.

See, this sort of info is far more useful than people soiling themselves over the usage of the word 'class'.

As one would expect the sword smaller than a greatsword (if still pretty large) would mean LESS risk of friendly fire incident. So avoiding that rude surprise in the middle of a fight is a big deal.

Even watching over a half hour of longsword videos today has yet to cover "Oh by the way, it can stagger teammates". This is the real deal info here.

Can't say using the word "class" is not a bit irritating, because it shows a lack of research before asking a question, but can't really see the point on teaming up to trashtalk for a word miss used!

Yep, that's always a thing in Monster Hunter games, the hunt with 4 melee weapons and the guys mashing buttons who kills you. By the way, it's kind of the same for the Wyvern Fire attack of the heavy bowgun, and numerous other AOE-attacks!

I'm admitedly also used to the opposite spectrum of turbo nerds trying to argue that different weapons = class. Or even so far as "No, no. Weapon proficiencies are the same thing as abilities!" in comparing poor old DnD fighters to Wizards.

At least in MH's case, Weapon=Class can readily fall under "Eh, close enough" no missunderstanding of the end result. (Nobody will ever beat Mag/Clip tantrums though).

Now, forgetting "Hey, a landmine might blow up OTHER PEOPLE"? THERE is a missunderstanding to watch out for.

People like to pretend the game is totally balanced and there is no best weapon buuut...

Chargeblade, Heavy Bowgun(end game) and Bow(end game) are the strongest weapons with the fastest clear times.

Hammer is the easiest weapon to get success with for minimal effort and technical skill.

And I'm not saying they are the best because i like them the best, they just have the highest dps in the game, and in fact I don't like using them for this reason.
