Can I play it OFFLINE?

Yep. I mostly play it solo. I find it a lot easier. But I also like to play with a friend or 2 at times.

Yeah, it works offline.

Yes you can play offline mode if your intenet connection is disrupted otherwise it wants you online. While offline some features will be limited though.

yes i have a same question as him, cuz for me as a seafarer we dont have internet connection, but i really love the game, and i want to play it offline. and online if it is possible for me

you need launch game with network one time to make a drm token, after that you can play with offline mode

Eh, I mostly played Monster Hunter World alone on PS4, and it wasn't any harder than usual. If I remember correctly you have to do story based hunts first anyway before playing multiplayer.

Yeah you just need a connection to launch it the first time. Once you've done that, you can play offline. It will say "create online session" in the main menu, but when you click it and it can't connect it'll offer an offline option instead.

I think you/other players have to see the cutscene before joining on a story hunt that's what I've read.

I heard Denuvo require you to be online every 14 days or so to refresh an anti piracy token. correct me if i'm wrong...

i would suggest joining a lobby with full of people. cos the Canteen (place to get food buffs - which you should take every hunt) offers ingredients that are unlocked by other people in one active session. Say you havent unlocked any ingredients yet but theres one guy who has unlocked everything.. You'll get the benefit of getting the same ingredient as him as long he is in the lobby

PS4 allowed offline play, Online only allowed co-op nothing more
This was proven via a streamer a while back when the PSN went offline for a while

Steam shouldnt be any different in that regard
Co-Op is OPTIONAL not a requisite
