Male or Female?

So I love a lot of the armour sets for both male and female but I plan on starting with the Insect Glaive and I just cant decide if I want to be darting through the air looking like a slender bird or a spikey forklift truck, Help me decide community!

General consensus is that female armor is a bit underwhelming this time around, but there are some sets that look good.

Personally just wish they'd bring back transmog so that there would be no compromises for fashion hunting. Perhaps with G rank.

Normally I do this too but since I get queezy climbing ladders in RL I cant imagine a digital version of me flying through the air trying to poke monsters with a big stick.

I quite like the sets I've seen so far but yeah proper transmog would be nice :( if not I guess we can just hope they keep adding layered sets

Most likely a Female this time around. I made a male on the PS4 version. To make the game feel like it's new on pc, a female just makes sense.

I would greatly like the ability to 'layer' any armor piece over any other.
That would give us full control over our faship while still allowing for full optimization...


Though, should that not come to pass, I'll likely wear what I like the looks of, stats be damned!

There might be some slender armor and you could use transmog there was monkey king esque armor in mh4u

It's funny, I'm not a fan of ladders myself. Being near the top of one makes me very uncomfortable.

Yet I can go to the top of the CN tower and jump up and down on the glass floor without flinching. Or head to Wonderland and ride the drop zone (where they just take you many stories up in a tiny seat and then drop you).

Maybe it's because logically I know that the ladder is actually the least safe out of all those, considering it actually has a chance of falling over. :p

Well thanks for all the replies I decided to go with female :) I think this was the first discussion I've ever started on steam so not a bad turnout i'd say, plenty of opinions to consider so thanks everyone and happy hunting!

It annoys me when men play as females though. Like I'm all for freedom of choice but it's annoying when I think I'm talking to another female player but turns out it's a guy - . -
