How can you tell what an Event rewards you with?
To clarify:

Just take "Timberland Troublemaker's" as an example - You hunt 2 Anjanath's, get a Bristly Crake ticket, and congrats.

So what I am asking is... how do you know wtf that is? The only way I found to determine my actual reward was by going to the Smithy, and scrolling through all the armor and weapons (for weapons you have to scroll each type individually, which is tedious) before you find that there's now a hammer you can craft from the event.

Aside from scouring the Smith, or looking it up on the Wiki, there doesn't seem to be any in game notification or any direction toward these event items. I did the USJ event where I got the Palico Samurai armor and the LongSword, except I crafted the Palico set and that was it. I never realized there was a sword I could make until I browsed the category much later and saw it sitting there, waiting to be made.

So that's what I'm asking you guys - aside from googling the rewards, where IN GAME is it telling me what I can go craft after I grind the event?? I don't see it anywhere.

Yea, the ticket does say that. My trouble is that it doesn't say "Redeem at the Smithy for a Hammer/Switchaxe/etc"

They really should have been entirely clear, so you have clear rewards. The way it is, you're just doing the event, getting a ticket and saying "Umm... so I guess I gotta tab out now and find out what this is for...."

It's clear when you go and try to craft the gear, cause, it will unlock once you acquired said item and will tell you how many you will need to make each piece.
Still a pain to just open every weapons' crafting menu just to see which one the ticket applies to. It's a minor inconvenience, but they could have made it more obvious.

It doesn't tell you what tickets are for. Just like you wouldn't know what monster parts can make before you've killed the monster.

Hello, yung Seamus... again we meet... so then after an event just scroll through all the armor and weapons, or google it.

That's the true answer. Pretty stupid design decision to be making events players should want to participate in, then go the Dark Souls road of obfuscating the rewards.

IIRC the blacksmith related tickets will say something along the lines of "try and redeem it at the smithy," but yeah the system isn't very clear at all as to what does what, just Google stuff.

Or, y'know, just check the event schedule capcom posted. Most if not all of the collabs that have special rewards list what they are in the descriptions.

So, you expected not opening crafting menu in a game that revolves around hunting stuff, collecting it's loot and crafting new gear...

I love this game, but I'm just saying the system could have been better. Like why not have an exclamation point next to the weapon category it belongs to? It's not like I just hunted a new monster and can expect new weapons in every category.

Ultimately, you can just look up online if you really don't feel like searching every time you get a new blacksmith ticket, it's what I did. Saying that the in-game information is inadequate isn't wrong, though, it's just a super minor thing to be nit picky about.

cause, it will add a new weapon in all weapons categories also, armor and acessory.
you can also check weapon tree before starting to craft or upgrade.

Let's not forger some itens are visual only, and are just redemeed at investigations trio...

I'm talking specifically about Blacksmith related items, the layered armors are really obvious as to what they unlock and what you need.

Just check the tree option, it will give all the alternatives avaible, and the ones you didn't discover yet will shown as ?????, because, you don't even know which monster it's even from... If they put the name of the item would be confusing cause, people would try to face something they didn't meet yet. Like, you won't be able to face a lunastra or Xenojiva in early gameplay. And, you don't even have enough mechanics or damage to face them.

This still requires you to know which tree it belongs in to be able to see what the ticket does. I'm just reiterating myself at this point and I realize that it's a minor thing, but compared to how layered armor deliveries are handled, the blacksmith descriptions are needlessly vague. Again, not a huge deal, not trying to make it out as one, just sayin.

Just to reiterate my point - it is not clear because you open the Smithy menu and you have Armor/Palico armor to check, and then every single weapon category individually.

After an event, it isn't my idea of fun progress to have to check each type to verify whether or not it was what I even just spent 12 minutes in a quest for... they should tell you outright "This event rewards tickets for a special Sword and Shield", etc etc.

That has already been stated, but I don't understand how anybody on planet Earth could be okay with this. It isn't that the information isn't readily available, it's that it isn't readily available INSIDE THE GAME.

You shouldn't have to tab out, check your phone, or text a friend to find out wtf an event just rewarded you.
