PSA : Please find your camp sites.
This is really more of a nitpick than anything, as the hunt still succeeds. It's just annoying. I felt compelled to write this after seeing someone trying to do a behemoth quest without every campsite in the Elder's recess unlocked.

Please, for the love of all that is good...
UNLOCK YOUR CAMPSITES
It helps EVERYONE in the game. There should never be a moment where I, or anyone for that matter, have to join a quest, then walk across the entire map just to get to the monster except in the coral highlands. I understand if you somehow don't have the materials to even unlock the campsite, but you should still have it at least found so you know what to look for. I will not allow any excuse for players above 15 HR to not have every camp in whatever area they are in.

Side note, if you do have every camp : Good job. Now go help newer players get their camp sites.

Four. Times. He died during the final seconds of a Nerg hunt, sending him back to camp 1, leaving him unable to run back in time to carve, meaning he got literally no reward every time. If he had unlocked camp 16, he'd have gotten back in mere seconds and got the carves with time to spare.

Don't be a bad hunter. Unlock your camps, people.

Problem is that players don't even read chat when i tried to show (and ping) camp sites. At some point i gave up and don't even bother joining them.

Man this times a thousand. life is so much easier once you get it unlocked. Monster all the way across the map? Easy, just go to the camp nearest to them

Yeah, this is quite annoying, especially in elder recess where the map is big. it got to a point that if most campsites are greyed out, i don't even bother joining.
Corrupt-nz Nov 27, 2019 @ 1:15pm
They should have done that by now

It's not like you come across every campsite during the hunts in the game. I didn't come here to hunt for campsites. I came to hunt for monsters.

But it just makes things easier for everyone, people who try to help you especially unless you are more like solo player. I mean what's the hard thing about it? Just googling it and you can find the exact location of the camps in any time, even many people try to help as well.

Like OP said, imagine that if you fainted or need to refill your supply especially on hard fights like fighting Behemoth or any AT Elders, but you need to run across a map just because you are too lazy on walk over a place that require no big effort whatsoever. Like i see on many people who having hard time when fighting rathalos or rathian in Ancient Forest, where just unlocking the fourth camp at the top and waiting at their nest would make the hunt a piece of cake every time after.

I'm on board that having every campsite is an advantage. My point however is that not having every campsite even though you're over HR15 is alright because again we didn't jump into MHW to go after campsites. Besides being able to find every last campsite would require some boring crusade with youtube. Hell I'm HR46 and I still don't have every campsite and I'm doing fine.

Nah the campsite are easy to spot
Just look at the map, if you see a small isolated area with walls around it, high chance it's a camp
The only one that might be tough to find is near Nergigante nest

Yeah but some of them are well hidden, and I just didn't notice them. I probably have 90% of the campsites.

I'm only HR 46 and just yesterday I was hosting a behemoth sos and one of the players kindly led me to a campsite I didn't have during one of the phase switches, we were running after behemoth and he was like "come here" and we crawled under some rocks and there was a campsite in this random ass cave I hadn't discovered yet.

Until he showed me the campsite I didn't even know other players were locked to using only the campsites I discovered.

I mean, if you're only missing 1 or 2 campsites total then its not too bad right? :s

Depends on the camps; missing the Wastelands Central or the Forest Northwest? That's okay, theyre not often used; Missing all the camps in the Recess or the north camp of the Highlands? God awful, terrible, the worst trade deal in the history of deals

As PC players, we need all the preparation we can get before Iceborne's launch.

its funny such a simple thing to accomplish, that adds more QoL to your hunts for tracking things down, and people dont bother doing it.
