For example, my SnS set, the max rank rathalos SnS does the same damage as the Anjanath SnS. But ONLY while the Rathalos SnS stays in white. Which it doesn't for very long.
Anja has better base damage, comes with 3 augmentation slots while rath has only 1.
all in all if you build them for critical element (wich is how you should be building elemental weapons) they're probably going to end up performing in a very similar way, anja will get higher damaging crits but won't be able to max out affinity and rathalos will easily reach 100% affinity for more consistent damage.
