What is the point of Energy Drink?

Anytime you fight something with Sleep, like Nightshade Poluma, Energy Drink is completely worthless.

That crap potion takes forever to drink because the hunter thinks he's some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wine connoisseur and has to appreciate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing with every sip. So your walking there, drinking this crap, OH LOOK THE MONSTER JUST KNOCKED YOU ON YOUR ASS.

Of the maybe 10 times I've had to use this energy drink, 7 the monster just barrels into me and it's just a wasted potion.

For group play it makes sense because the team can always grab aggro. For solo, with that crap excuse for a sidekick, it's a 50/50 on rather the palico will actually get off his ass and grab aggro. Not even, more like 10/90 in the odds of a monster smashing you awake.

Energy Drink is awesome. It's like Wiggly Lichi but you carry it with you to use whenever you like.
Drink one and lance charge transforms into lance charrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge.

I'm just glad great sushifish are easier to find in hoarfrost.
It's uncomfortable sharing how many times I died because I got slapped with poison or bleed, or was trying to sprint under ice and ran out f stamina and the potion got cancelled and I got clapped.

At this rate, aster jerky is more useful when it comes to HP, as it heals all red health, as fish used to. But having it be a potion next to mushroomancer eliminates that nonsense for the most part.

I only died once by being stuck in a sleep loop... Every hunters dream 3 lol.

Energy drink is my lazy solution to not wanting to cook some meat, even though it is Soooo Tasty!... Well, it was. I'm a mushroom now. Devils Blight all day e'ery day. Carry 10 of 'em can literally grow 'em in one slot, and it's also a Dash Juice!

Uh just eat ration . You can make them at canteen and you eat them faster .

Some people already do, he just said it out loud i know during the first few times i fought nightshade i just slotted 3 sleep jewels so i didn't have to worry about fighting him in the sleep gas.

The fastest way is to have someone , preferably LS to do a quick stab on you , for being tripping king , they usually no where to be found when you struck by Sleep ailment .

I find it very useful if I don't feel like slotting for sleep resist.

FYI- It may be common knowledge, but you can sprint while drinking things. You don't go full sprint speed, but it does increase your speed, allowing you to avoid many attacks while drinking. Also, once you've finished chugging, you can dodge roll out of the "wipe your mouth and sigh" animation.

Also, a lot of people mistaking Energy Drink for Dash Juice. Dash Juice is for stamina, Energy Drink is for sleep.

Use herbal medicine for poison, it's fast and heals you a bit too.
That I use energy drinks as alt to meat since it's faster and easier to make en bulk.

You think the drinking animation is bad? Man oh man you should have seen the potion drinking in older mosnter hunters lmao, there was a reason why you would have to move to another "zone" to drink a potion pre-mhw XD
