Should i go for Health Boost 3 or Divine Blessing 3 ?

- I just head back to Bow yesterday ( my build only focus on max DPS ) and it so easy to die so i replace some Deco for Health Boost 3 to stay alive ( But still die when fighting Temper Kirin , one of his move got me while in the air full HP gone )
- If i replace HealthBoost 3 with Divine Blessing 3 , is it worth it ( It doesnt show exact number when Divine Blessing Active , just '' Predetermined Chance '' )
- I wish i have enough Slot to put those 2 skills in that would make my Bow so Beast.

The one-shot is probably the result of the damage boost the monster gets when enraged.

Im going to test Health Boost 3 on Bow playstyle with other Temper monsters later see if they can one shot me !!
- I've been in love for Sticky for too long, now Bow make me feel Newbie

Also health boost 3 is a waste of slots when there's still attacks you can't live through. There's no reason to bring 200 HP when you're still dying from 1 attack.

Interesting logic. Sometimes planes crash so should we not fly planes anymore?

Health boost is not a waste. There are plenty attacks or just unlucky situations that will cart you if you're without it. It gives you opportunity to learn those moments. It gives breathing room and a chance to play more aggressively or just to have a more relaxed hunt.

Did you try to actually get behind the logic? If your Thunder Res is so bad that pretty much any lightning bolt kills you regardless of HB3, it is wasted. In that (niche) case resistance is worth more. Obviously you want to pair decent resists with HB. Also, I neither care for your explanation nor did I need it.

You should use Silver alpha pieces which have innate fire attack to free up the charm slot.
Then you can fit in Spread and Normal Up, and Constitution 5 if you don't like using dash juice. Silver a head, chest and legs, Silver b arms and Nami b waist, Fitness IV or whatever you like.

i already carry Dash in my LoadOut !
- But bow user dont need to dash every second , u only dash the first attack get it to the 2nd charge. and the rest just Auto and spread. But yea i did lose some damage on Normal/Spread Jewel, but still deal around 60-70 dmg per hit is good enough

best priority order is HB3, then Prot3, prot 5 if possible with set bonuses, then any elemental resistances that apply or if none then maybe blight immunity, then stun negate or as much stun res as possible if you find yourself getting stunned by a monster alot.

this ensures maximum survivability at the basic level. there are more advanced ways to improve it but honestly they either end up not worth it for your everyday build or minimal in your survival calculations.

Run health boost, its reliable. Unfortunately the lvl 4 gems that have health boost (and bow related side skills) are also pretty rare.

Bow is pretty strong damage-wise on Iceborne endgame, unfortunately everything hits really hard, prepare for a lot of one shots especially since there's not a lot of options armor-wise for bow, its just silver sol where you mix and match 1 piece out depending on the element. I doubt you'd have enough space for both divine and hb without your damage starting to suffer.

From my 2nd account : Maybe, but not so sure !
- U choose to lose ( Crit boost , Crit , Weakness exploit,..... ) then u will have enough slot to place in Health + Divine.
- Or u can decide to put ( Deco lvl 4 : Weakness / Health or Weakness / Divine )

I'm glad to see a lot of support for both HB and DB. Personally, I try to always take both, even if I sacrifice damage, because I make a lot of mistakes, and there's nothing that hurts DPS more than carting or having to stop damage to heal.

Along that same point, it sounds like it might be good for you to play around with some skills that help you to not get hit at all. I've never used bow, but, personally, for any weapon without a shield, I use 2 points in Evade Extender; the additional distance makes a lot of attacks much easier to avoid, which then means you can keep damage going.

You are far enough to have the guiding lands and Master Rank 70, you should try to make the Gold Rathian belt beta. I use it on my bow sets because it has 3 levels of divine blessing on it without any decorations. Sure it might not be the best for DPS, but it has helped me. I would also go for health boost since it is the best defensive skill in the game.

It rocks.

Lol ALL of my builds have health boost 3 and divine blessing 5. its honestly kind of broken.

I have a very meme worthy build with health boost, divine blessing, super recovery and I use a hunting horn granting recovery speed boost and extended recovery boost. That plus immuniser and any damage I do take gets regenerated insanely quickly. It's a lot of fun

So basically you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ immortal. You're basically Talion from Shadow of War, except without the prior death.

Hmm..As a bow user,Im using both.. DB3 HB2. A "Safeplay bow" build lol.

For armor sets. Just use velkhana head and chest beta.
Blackveil arm and waist beta.
Garuga leg beta.

And now you get dmg reduction, health boost, recovery and eat faster. :mhwgood:

I would go for Health boost only. Divine Blessing got nerf hard in Iceborne.

Before iceborne, Divine Blessing would very much proc 50% of the time.

Now it is 25% activation rate between Lv1 to 4. 40% at Lv5.

Source: https://monsterhunterworld.wiki.fextralife.com/Divine+Blessing
(I did a little field test, it does seems like 25% or maybe less).

- Ill switch my Temporal Mantle for Gliding Mantle ( extra lvl 4 slot ) More Divine and Slugger

DB is better than HB, the attacks that one shot you are going to do so with or without the 50 extra health, its better to have it reduced by 50% along with the off chance that it procs multiple times in a row and outperforms vitality even more. After the DB secret with Gold Rath set, vitality on ranged should always be after DB. A mega potion will bring you back to peak performance level much easier when DB procs as where vitality you will always have to spend the same amount of time healing or more.
