Hidden Info And Stuff

It's safe to say there's a ton of hidden information in the game, from monster sizes to the health of each individual breakable part on their body. I can't find anything on google, but what about the materials they drop? Does anyone know if they are pre-determined, or if it's all RNG?

For example, will a Gold Crown Deviljho drop more materials? Will it drop the same materials if I broke the parts and slew it, as opposed to capturing it without breaking parts? Is there a finite amount of materials that will drop from flinch-shotting, thief mantle, or plunder knife? Will the monsters I capture give the exact same materials when I fight them in the arena?

I understand if none of this makes sense or doesn't have a sound answers, just looking for anything that might help me optimize hunting a bit.

I cut off tail several times and not always get a gem or tail, i sometimes get a carapace or scale from it even or some other crap.. .....

strange,nerver got anything other than a tail or said gem,never really bothered with tails anyway except for garugas,that poisoned tail has to be cut off

No. Capcom just doesn't want players knowing that kind of information (like in every other MH game).

Between the Wiki and Kiranico, I don't know what else that could give you more monster information aside from some mods that add monsters health and part health bars.

Notice the second and third parts? Where I ask about quantities? Or do you not know that the info provided in-game doesn't give you that? You do know your hunter notes only tell you WHAT will drop, not how many, correct? Or were you just ignorant to what I was asking?
