I don't understand how some people are able to play, but I can't even launch the game.
Drivers
Windows (use SFC)
Verify game files
anything else i didnt think of related to gaming like hardware compatibility though thats not much of an issues these days. but some people still run ancient hardware thinking it can keep up.
Still, super frustrating, no rhyme or reason what causes it :/
CPU: i5 4670K @ 4GHz
RAM: 24GB DDR3 1333MHz
GPU: Radeon RX 480 8GB GDDR5
Windows 10
I tried reinstalling this game numerous times on different harddrives/SSD's, Verifying game files, rebooting my PC, updating Direct X, Updating my video drivers, etc. Nothing has worked.
I still have the sneaking Suspicion that those who have yet to purchase Iceborne are the ones who are getting this black screen bug.
I have tried shutting down certain software, uninstalled certain software I had installed since I purchased MHW back in December (mainly the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack that I was trying to use to wirelessly connect my PS4 controller to play without having to use a wobbly micro USB cable [Was able to finally get this device from Mayflash that can connect PS4/Xb1/Switch Pro controllers to PS4/XB1/Switch/PC/Neogeo etc for that])
I had even tried putting MHW as an exclusion in the Windows Defender definitions and still no change.
See, I even have this issue as someone who has Iceborne, and has been actively playing Iceborne. I think it might just be related to the patch that introduced it and other mechanics in general.
For some reason all Capcom games do this to me. Once I reboot they load up fine. After awhile though it will do the black screen thing. If I wait about 2 minutes game will eventually load. It's faster to just reboot though.
