If I buy the Core game does it come with DLC ?

I purchased this game on my xbox and I recall them saying all DLC content was going to be free. Is this also true for the PC version if I choose to purchase it ? or if I am incorrect please advice as I am looking to purchase the core game on the pc but I am hesitant.

edit - i should say, if you buy 'just' the base game, it doesn't come with iceborn.

Iceborne is not a DLC, it's an Expansion, so you have to buy base game + expansion. DLCs are multiple minor additions to the game such as events, layered armors, new equipment sets, etc. etc. Tiny stuff that keep you coming back to check out the changes, but the beefy expansion stuff costs extra.

Yes they did say it was free, and it is. Iceborne is not DLC so its not free. Nothing special about anything of this.

iceborn is clearly under the DLC category alongside with other paid cosmetics, or in its own page. the free stuff is only specifically for content updates after vanilla monster hunter and iceborne, excluding some cosmetics. it's basically just like previous gen, content updates and DLC quests would be free.

At least on Steam you can buy the Iceborne + MHW for $50. Its half price of what most people are paying for the same game(60 + 40). What more do people want?
