Tip to activate Perfect rush for SnS after backhop .

When you start the back hopping , press left mouse or whatever light attack button you assigned when you still in the air and your char will perform a leaping attack that start the perfect rush combo .
If your char feet already on the ground when you press the button you only perform the normal combo .

In short , press the attack button while in the air during backhop .

It does come out properly if you charge first. I think the only wrong way to input is, like you said, tapping the light attack button once your feet hit the ground. It comes out properly when either buffered or during the charge (with the red flash).

Also, remember you can go straight into it out of a pod burst from the claw. Really useful when you blast a monster in the face, stun them and create a perfect opening to followup with rush.

i did try the charging but the result is not as constant as tapping the attack button when on the air though .

On the PlayStation controller, when you start doing the "charge" after the back jump, you just push triangle while still holding circle. I'm sure it's the equivalent on keyboard.

Start the backhop from guarding, its much quicker and easier.

Guard - backhop - advance - perfect rush

Dont forget to press the buttons in correct order when you want to backstep from guard, i've been in too many guard-slash accident.
