So.... I upgraded to horrid screen tearing, apparently??
Anyone else have this issue? Just bought Iceborne which the base game ran at 1080p/Ultra with a solid 60fps on my OC'd 1080Ti with literally no issues, at all whatsoever. Now, I install Iceborne and have horrendous screen tearing. I've messed with every single setting. V-Sync on and off, Frame limiter on 60 and Unlimited and V-Sync on and off for both of those settings. Is Iceborne just screen tear w/ no fix right now. Need to know soon so I can get my money back if it is, I won't play the game like this.... Thanks in advance.

I've overclocked my cpu to 4.0Ghz. To get 55 fps. The game is pushing all 6 cores 12 threads to 92%

I get a solid 60fps when I have the frame limiter set to 60fps... but, V-Sync doesn't work whether I select it On or Off. It doesn't matter, it looks like Wolverine is shredding my screen with his claws. I think it's time for a refund if I can't get a solution soon.

They are working on performance fixes. Just wait for that.

Maybe the Nvidia CPL profile for MHW is overriding your ingame Vsync setting?

Problem with that, is if I don't find a solution to my problems or they don't fix my specific problem after 2 weeks or 2 hours, I'm stuck with this terrible performing game forever. I trust they PROBABLY will fix it, but, that's not good enough for me. I will just refund and buy it later when it's cheaper and fixed which is what I should have done in the first place.

Wouldn't it have done it before? Never had problems with the base game. I will check it out.

Unfortunately this is the only downside to PC gaming, it is next to impossible to develop for all hardware combinations. Not to mention all the different software people have that can conflict.

Not necessarily, this "patch" essentially replaced the entire game, the nvidia profile might not be 100% gucci any more.

Also, try switching to Dx12, who knows, it might make a difference.

Which is why, if the next consoles are as powerful or next to as powerful as the machine I'm using now, I will likely play on them. I'm sick of spending way more money to have 10X the problems. Not worth it. If consoles can do 60fps in all games (or at least have an option for that, which they should) That will be good enough for me. I'm sick of spending more time configuring my games than playing them. I don't have that kind of time anymore.

It might be worth checking if Geforce Experience is set to automatically overwrite your game settings with it's recommended profiles if you use that programme.
Have you made sure that there is no discrepancy between your in-game V-sync setting and the settings in your Nvidia control panel?

I hope this helps you with your issue!

Still running smooth on my ryzen 5 2600 and gtx 970 strix, has to be a nvidia profile issue i guess. Never used that on MHW on my end.

Tried DX12 and tried all settings that I mentioned above in DX12 and DX11. No bueno...

Playing at 3440 * 1440p no screen tearing either. That's also with the high resolution texture pack as well.
