i do not own Iceborne, but still told to update/download its files ?
why ? like why would you do this ?

Im new to this game, and have no intention to buy the dlc until I decide its worth my interest. and implying I finished the base game

the update force me to download Iceborne content... a content, I havent bought.. and I cant access.. seriously ??

Its a waste of space because the update is 40GB and final space will take 70s GB. while the vanilla only took 24 GB.

it downloads it so that if you play with someone who owns iceborne you can temporarily access icebornes content while playing with them

the update is actually forcing you to reload ALL of the files.
it's not just iceborne, but also the base game files that got updated.
depending if you use the HD textures or not, your download will be bigger.
downloading DLC content in games with online modes is normal, as your version must check out with others who own iceborne to be able to play online.

The 40 GB is the new vanilla. It's not extra to it, not an update, not a patch. It's the entire new port.

Not all of us wanted this though, that's why you don't just patch the base game with the dlc.

I dont use the HD texture, its not even in my dlc list

and its still told me to redownload all of it.. LOL

okay so it will be like Payday 2, where you can be invited to play in dlc you dont own.

Not all of us wanted this though, that's why you don't just patch the base game with the dlc.
if they change the base game then you won't really have a choice... and if they didn't do that it most likely would've split the playerbase in 2

if you had the hd texture it would be 80gb instead of 40gb update

I get it, its really cool to play in dlc you dont have to own, but then again.. the one who really want to play will most likely buy it in any way

I got it, its really cool to be play in dlc you dont have to own, but then again.. the one who really want to play will most likely buy it in any way

Actually, you can't play in the DLC without it. Only DLC owners can play with you.

It's a damn expansion people, expand your library of words already, dlcs are small things, expansions, aka Iceborne adds TONS of stuff.

Just because you didn't want a free QOL update to the game that makes things play much smoother doesn't mean other people don't, I really don't get the complaint about people crying about nice qol changes and new additions.

OH NO YOU UPGRADED ME, I wanted to stay coach not first class!

Im sorry..

like I said, Im new to this game. and buffled when get the update.

Expansion IS DLC

there's no difference, its just an older word. because in early 2000 you dont download this additional content.. you BOUGHT another DISC of the said game. hence its called Expansion.

doesnt matter the size. like you dont call an expensive Microtransactions, a Macrotransactions
