Best method to add Anti Aliasing
The default TAA makes the game blurry and the FXAA doesn't help that much.

I've tried adding SMAA.fx for ReShade, and it does slightly improve the image. However, it is still very noisy.

The only way to get a better AA then reshades SMAA is to use Nvidias DSR and setting it to a resolution of 2560x1440 if youre playing on 1080p right now. Game will look great but the performance cost is high. It basicly scales the game down to do the AA.

Try using TAA but, add on top of that a shapening filther

TAA is alot worse then SMAA blurring the picture and then sharpening it back looks horrible. Also TAA makes the game only blurry during movement so while still the game will be oversharped.
If using one of the tempAA methods then FXAA.

Do note that TAA is needed for the rain effect to look good. Without it, the rain will be very strange.

My personal suggestion is to just use TAA + FXAA and set the game to a resolution higher than your screen (so it will be downscaled). The downscaling make the blur somewhat constant instead of on/off (off when you stand still, on when you move). The game also has low res texture issues here and there (Rathalos texture looks so bad in comparison to the little Jagras), and this helps with that.

Yes the AA in this game is not good, in comparison, Witcher 3 which is older is WAY better with its built in AA.

Before patch i've been using TAA+FXAA, but now i can't see real difference between all 3 settings of AA. For me it looks like it's just not working properly.

With Iceborne, the combination that works best for me is AMD's new Fidelity to 4k with FXAA only. The least jaggies or blurriness. Needs a beefy rig though...

Guys, has anyone managed to install ReShade for MHW on Steam Deck? I really want to do it, I want a normal image. Tried two ways, it did not work.

This is a stupid question but is this resolution the right one for your monitor? I tried FXAA/TAA and all that crap to realise resolution was wrong.
