How NOT to install High Resolution Texture Pack?

Well can I keep the MHW High Rec Pack or will it automatically install for iceborne than?
So is the only chance to install it later to take out the MHW High res pack for now so I can install it later?

The high res Pack is a DLC. If you don't choose it, it will not be installed. Sry for bad english.

Go to "Manage my XX DLC" on the right side of the library(you'll have to scroll down a bit, it's below achievements) and uncheck the box next to the high res pack.

I think you can just leave it unchecked in your DLC manager. That's what I did for vanilla.

The high res pack will be updated for iceborne, rather than being a separate high res pack.

You right click monster hunter in library, scroll down, find that uninstall buttonm and wham! no more 4k textures (That also means no MHW regardless btw incase you really dont want that...)

Meaning, it wont install with IB unless you opt in for it..
