Steam compression that gets rid of more than 50% of its size? Naw, I wouldn't think so. Expect at least 40 GB. It's about time people got at least 50K Internet in 2020, given the large size of the average game nowadays.

You are aware that 50%^ish is allready installed on your PC if you have MHW?......

Its treated as an update so obviously you dont have to redownlaod the whole game.

48GB is the total size of MHW + Iceborne (no texture packs), so the download will be less than half

there aint no rule saying expansions has to be literally half the base game size lol. Its size will be whatever it needs to be

remember guys that downloading, JUST AN EXAMPLE, 50GB of stuff, doesnt mean that your game folder will be 50GB bigger. Some files (prolly the majority) will be updated and/or overwritten. So, if i'm correct, the full size of the game will be 45GB, but the download shouldnt be much more than 25-30GB.

The problem is, that in places like Germany, the government is still stuck in the stoneage technology-vise.
The upgrade to broadband is really taking a freaking long time here

No its not. All the patch notes said to have 48 gig installed... -.-

I just checked the patch notes and it seems that in different language it is described differently. In English it says the space required is 48G but in Chinese it says the download size is 48G so I don’t know now.
