DLC? No. Iceborne expansion? Yes.

The rest are cosmetics that are subpar at best which a transmog mod will do for free 1000x better.

Buy the base game only. If you want to play iceborne then buy iceborne. The rest is not necessary. There are also free dlcs so don't forget to get them.

You don't need to buy any unless u want a nicer outfit for handler. Iceborne has Mr. X handler though so I would not bother.

No DLC from Capcom was ever worth it imho, because they are mostly cosmetics. Except expansion/addons like IB. That's the good thing about Capcom.

If you've never tried any Monster Hunter in the franchise before, base game is all you need at the moment. The game is hard, but the fun is the thrill of the hunt, not the story or the items you get. The game is for you if you like overcoming challenge. If you like the game, buy Iceborne, which is the only DLC you will ever need.

So far, the only worthy DLC to buy is just the gestures that can deal damage. One particular is the DMC dual pistol. It merely only deals 1 damage x 3 times from moderate range. But it sure helps in exoloding bombs without throwing yourself off if you are using melee with no strong attacks (SnS for example) and having you to empty the slinger ammo.

I would wait to buy Monster Hunter World until January 9, 2020 because the Iceborne dlc and MHW base game will come prepackaged together for $60 dollars total, or whatever the base price for MHW in your region is now. If you buy MHW now, you will have to pay the additional cost of the Iceborne dlc along with MHW cost. It is better to wait until January 9 if you want the best value.

The other dlc is inconsequential and does not really affect gameplay whatsoever. It's all cosmetic, as it's just gestures, emotes/stickers, outfits for the handler (most of them are available during seasonal events for free temporarily), and layered armor, which is just decorative and doesn't provide any gameplay bonuses.

Everything apart from the IceBorne DLC (which will be released in Jan 9/Jan 10) is purely for cosmetic purpose. You should be doing fine with just base game and the IceBorne DLC.

No DLC gives any gameplay benefits. You're free to ignore ALL DLC, besides the expansion Iceborne, which you can ignore till you beat the basegame

they could have sell original layered armor for player instead of outfit for handler which you dont see often anyway nor your fellas can see them on party. they didnt think of that or what

I've been saying that forever. They sell things for a useless side character and our main char still don't have all base armor as layered set.

To TC: this game dlc is only useful for the social aspect (emotes, stickers, etc...),, not useful if you only see your hunting partners once in life and never again. They're more intended as show off to your friends guild or if you're part of the weeb crowd that like to fap to a kirin clad female hunter dancing a sexy motion.

the only worthwhile DLC is Iceborne.

everything else is cosmetic/social.

But it's on sale now for $22.50, so maybe that's as good a deal?

$22.50 for MHW? Nice deal considering MHW will be 20 when they introduce the Master Edition bundle, it only $20 in the bundle, separate purchase probably only drop it to $30 like on PSN. Only $2.25 different and you get to get a head start before Iceborne hit

Now it's only $19.99 on Indiegala. Buying.
