Unlocking Research Help: Wiggler Capture

Title. Not sure why this hasnt unlocked for me. Ive completed the storyline, am HR48 and completed the pre-requisite carrier ant capture. Youtube and the wiki both show where I should be able to find her in the coral highlands but she is not appearing. What have I missed?

I'm not sure what you mean. The quest? Wigglers themselves?
You can find wingglers in front of the first tent area. The wiggly things that hide when you go near them.

No. The quest itself. I can't get it because the researcher is not present at the location where they are supposed to be to give me the quest. That's what I meant by "unlocking". Sorry.

It's an event quest, not NPC quest.

Oh dear. How troublesome.

It's not as if this is an 'EVENT' quest.

Which you usually find under the 'EVENT' tab.

Maybe you should try and take a look nevertheless.

Are you guys serious? I'm not talking about "Wiggle me this.".. this quest is separate and is part of the Endemic Researched NPC quest line:

The researchers move around randomly. YOu have to keep an eye on your world map, it'll tell you which researcher is in which zone. Go to the coral highlands when the Endemic Life Researcher is shown there. If she's not, then go do another quest or expedition and check again.

If you're lookin for researchers, just go and 'explore'.

If you look over the map, you can see an exclamation point near the researchers who have something to tell you.

Otherwise, just go to the Bounty area and talk to them if you've done as the researchers asked. When you've done so, odds are they've got a new quest for you lined up.

Yeah, on the world map, when you hover over a location, you can see what NPC is available, and if they have something to say there will be an excamation mark "!". Go on an expedition there.

The NPCs are also different for low rank and high rank, so toggle back and forth for each location. They could show up in either and it doesn't matter which.

to defeat the wiggler, we must *understand* the wiggler.

He talks about random wiggler capture quest from fauna reasercher.

You need to go on expedition and look for here, she won't be there always but there will always be a memo before you go on the expedition when you hover over the area if there is a researcher, which one and if he does have a quest or not.

Aso, didn't you need to do the previous animal capture quests before?

Like catching 10 bugs or something?
