Although its not really worth it because
- Gem slot is too big, you can fit a lot more other useful jewels in it instead.
- Damage from Normal Shot itself is weak, compare to Spread Shot at close range.
- The buff from this jewel to Normal Shot is simply too weak, with a bow.
It is good for Bowgun build though, with a Bowgun that can Rapidfire Normal Shot 2/3
As Satori says, it's a bit of a big jewel to do much with. On my bowgun builds I found that using the armour piece with the skill was generally more worthwhile.
If you want to play safe from far away while never stop DPS-ing at your target, normal shot is the best.
Specially if you got bow charge plus, that extra animations will give you more moves for positioning and damages.
The drawback is you wil run out of coating fast but you will hit target nonstop while your target keep trying to hit you but miss since you are far away from it, normal shot are specially good for flying monsters.
