People are used to QoL in modern games. GU controls are utilitarian and exist there only for you to control your character. There is nothing underneath that makes it feel more smooth, the controls always do exactly what you tell them to, and there's little to no way to correct your mistakes after you commited them.
You have to be even more precise than in MHW about the way you control your characters. There's no actual problem with the controls, they are just not flexible and do not allow for mistakes.
For me it's mostly the poor hardware. Switch might be a bit better but oh boy, does 3DS suck for action games like this. Now compare that to XBOX S controller, or even Dualshock there's no competition.
That sounds about right.
Why would I? I mean, I know they revamped the way that the bowgun works, but I don't use bowgun. I use hammer, and I didn't notice much a difference at all. I can only speak to my experience.
Maybe it is because I played on emulator, but MHFU controls never bothered me. Like it was said a few posts up the controls in that game punished mistakes more, after some time I felt the controls very responsive. That being said I can't compare to the original PSP, so that might be the issue.
Lack of monster variety is normal since it's the first proper main line game on console's since the PS2 era they don't have prebuild models like on 3ds.
Game is not really too easy it's difficulty is near to on par with anything before 140 quests in MH4U and that is more difficult then Gen(gen is actually piss easy)
Stun mechanics are there because of you being able to eat and move if you don't like it don't get hit.
no issue's with breakpoints or KO's in multiplayer. about the same as in previous games
Arena's always scaled to 2 person they never where scaled in any game it was always balandced for multiplayer 2 mans
Arena armor set's where always garbage bar like 1-2 armor pieces.
Grinding for investigation's is easier and better then 140's in MH4U
The lac of conveniant hunting hall i will give you the gathering hub is terible.
