How to leave ?

Whether im solo or in multiplayer i cant leave the dam quest. Alt + F4 doesnt work. This is the most stupid thing i have ever seen in a video game. Will they patch it ?

There's an abandon quest and leave quest in the option.

Probably not, you have to Press Escape, go to a different tab (2nd from right?) Abandon quest. Then when you're in astera, you press escape, go over to different tab, Quit game, Yes Yes

It is silly. To disable alt-f4 is pointless. If I need to/want to immediately quit out of a program, that should be available. I don't want to wait for the abandoned quest screen, then wait for another screen, then quit out all the while waiting until THEY say I can quit.

OP, just ctrl-shift-esc and end task if you want to leave quickly.

Sometimes it's just necessary. You might need to shut down your computer right now for whatever reason and need MHW closed for that, so you'd want to alt F4 if you really don't have the time, but you can't.
In my case I have blackouts very often and my backup battery UPS can only sustain my desktop and monitor for roughly 2 minutes and I have to shut down normally as soon as possible to avoid having it forcefully cut off due to the blackout, and MHW seriously gets in the way of that specially since it really uses up my CPU and my entire desktop gets slow outside of the game, so even attempting to bring up task manager to end the task is a struggle, which wouldn't be necessary if I could just Alt F4.
Disabling Alt F4 is a dumb thing to do and it's just something devs have taken up to avoid people using it to close the game regularly instead of the proper Quit options (and to avoid save corruption, which would lead to certain people blaming it on the devs when they force closed during a save), but honestly devs just shouldn't attempt to babysit players at all with this and let them do what they want with their processes.
Now I have no idea what OP's reasoning could be but anything could really be valid if you need it closed ASAP.
