Can't Unlock HR Kirin?
Everytime I pick up its tracks the discovery bar doesn't move at all, it stays completely empty. Anyone know how to fix this? or do i just have to wait around for someone to shoot an sos flare?

Maybe you need to max out Level 3 Low Rank Kirin first? I dunno.

Complete more optional quests! Capture more monsters! Deliver more goodies!

Kirin is unlocked via Investigations. Which is a very small % chance everytime you find a track.

From what i've heard you need to be hr 49 first before you are able to fight his HR version

I think there's an optional fight later on for kirin that unlocks the hr version isn't there?

edit: I just checked and there's an 8* quest from the impatient biologist for him. I remember after I beat that I started getting lots of HR kirin investigations.

You have to fight kirin at hr49 i believe thats when you 'unlock' it. There is an event with 2 low rank kirins tho that was a few weeks back.

Once you get 2 levels in Kirins research you unlock the optional quest in HR.
