I heard the shield is really good this time around... Also, for pierce, I would recommend healing, affinity, or attack augment. Depending on your build, you can forego one or the other. (i.e if you have a Crit armor set, skip affinity and go for attack or healing)
Of course, I would recommend taking my suggestion with a grain of salt. The rest is up to you... :D

Also if you're looking for skills I recommend pierce shots either via the charm, jewel, or rath soul coil.
Additionally max might and agitator are killer on that gun.
I wonder how it looks like hahahahaha...
And for weakspot hitting its not that difficult, since most mons have tail+head as weakspot, so length-long pierce shot gunning is pretty easy. The only ones I have issue with is Odogaron and Tobi, cause their moveset is so erratic pierce seems inefficient. For the rest, pierce 3 just wrecks ass across the board.
