Best weapon for each tree since people keep asking (almost)

[Ghost of Olympus]

1. Sword and Shield: Teostra's Emblem (subject to change when Kulve DLC comes, note however note that status effects are really good on this weapon since you hit a lot, meaning if a monster is very weak to a certain status ailment they can be a better choice)

2. Great Sword: Jagras Hacker (yes I know it's stupid, but with three augmentations and elementless jewel it beats every GS, subject to change when a couple of DLC comes *Wyvern Ignition*)

3. Long Sword: Divine Slasher (with elementless jewel and affinity and handicraft no sword even comes close, there will be good contenders when several DLC arrives but this sword still takes the cake)

4. Dual Blades: This is kind of hard to answer and here is why, these weapon hit the most and fastest in the game meaning that status ailment and elements are the best on these weapons, so I can't give a definite answer because it heavily depends on the monster. 5. Hammer: Diablos Shatterer (His weapons have huge raw as always and when combined with elementless jewel. Only bad thing about they look BAD IMO)

6. Lance: Just like Dual Blades, there isn't a definite answer YET (yes again subject to change with DLC). BUT, here are the best elemental ones when combined with the crit element skill:
Blue Prominence (Fire), Love's Sorrow (Dragon), Taroth Crest Thunder (Thunder), Taroth Crest Water (Water). However, yet again subject to change when DLC comes out.

7. Charge Blade: You guessed it, Diablos Tyrannis, another Diablos weapon. Don't forget elementless jewel as usual. BTW, no other CB is even close.

8. Switch Axe: Oh look, another ♥♥♥♥ing Diablos weapon, the Axe of Demons with elementless jewel.

9. Gunlance: Royal Burst, this weapon is leagues away from all others that it's kind of funny. IMO this weapon is OP, but the sharpness issue kind of balances it. (I highly recommend using protective polish for this one)

10. Insect Glaive: Yup, the Tyrannis Glaive. As alway, elementless jewel. Note that since this weapon has very high DPS, elements with crit element here is a very solid choice.

11. Hunting Horn: I honestly have no clue, would love some feedback on this. I know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about HH since I can't even use them.

12. Bow: Honestly, MAYBE the Cera Coilbender. However, elements are good here too since bow usually hit multiple arrows at the same time.

13. Light Bow Gun and Heavy Bow Gun: No such thing exists, each ammo type has a different best weapon and I'm no expert to name them all. I honestly would suggest asking someone better suited with bow guns. If someone actually knows I would be more than happy to add them.

Edit: Wow who dig up that far to find this post. As people pointed out the list is not perfect, and like I said these are subject to change once DLC comes out, and it did, Deviljho remember?. People pointed out that Insect gaive is wrong, well, it depends, I haven't used IG since release on Ps4 but that raw on diablos with elemntless is too high, do the math. As for bowguns, it's Legiana for pierce and Nerg for spread.

(guns i'd guess go for what can auto/load a lot of ammo/different ammo's)

HH would the best vanilla be Bazel but if Jho drops it will beat it by far the damage is better also the songs played are awesome

Yeah Jho weapons are pretty good. Even the GS, if a monster is weak to dragon I think it can outdamage Wyvern Ignition though I'm not sure. Lance too, his weapons in general are pretty good, not to mention they get 2 augmentation slots since they are rarity 7.

For Light Bow Gun I would honestly say that it's Karma, the Odoggo Rarity 8 gun.

And for HBG it's Destruction's Fusilade, Diablos Cannon, and Legiana gun.

well your hints for the weapons in general are pretty on point o cant argue with that at all but there had to be a word or two about the diablos DB bc for the raw dmg crit set this one is just amazing the other weapons cant compete with the damage and if you have a 15 minutes investigation what would you rather go for ( yeah i know not for the dbs in that case anyways xD) a stun or maybe 50 raw more ? its true that the para dbs are good also the sleep weapons could be of use but the best is still the diablos weapon

For HBG its always the pierce shot that defines their utility. Can change depending if you are in solo/MP and depending on your armor set, but for the most part the Diablos line for HBG is probably the best if you have weakness exploit. Or you go Magda and use only pierce 3.

LBG is a mixed bag. Looking at it from a veteran's point of view, the LBGs feel so bad. Not only are they all so similar but they don't provide the same level of status ailment compared to earlier iterations.

For hunting horn you can go for Heavy Bone Horn or Deep Vero. Deep vero is better tho but no decoration slots, what is not really a problem.

Deep Vero is the best overall Hunting Horn for general use, as long as you can get up to 5/5 Handicraft since it has a big white sharpness bar.

you should still make a Desolation Overture and Teostra's Orphee, though, and one of each of the status horns. Baan Horn is good against Diablos, for example, due to having Sonic Waves and decent damage. Xeno Manasheena gets a mention for Kushala.

so, overall, i'd amke these horns:

Desolation's Overture, Xeno Manasheena, Teostra's Orphee, Deep Vero, Baan Horn, Dautra Horn, Queen Vespoid Horn/Fortisimmo II (if you have rree element).

Bazelreid is sadly outclassed now with the Deep Vero. Gama Horn II is a good one, too, since it has the same songs as Deep Vero and its much easier to get, but, it won't be used much.

elemental horns are also worthless because of how slow the Hunting Horn attacks, making raw the most ideal stat.

Your list is highly biased to raw damage. It doesn't take into account a fair number of differences in weapon playstyles. IG/Bow for instance, both of which I main, neither of them use the diablos weapon as the meta (outside of pure raw damage). Bow in fact has a list of about 5 bows that get used fairly often depending on playstyle and monster weakness. Among these are Anja, Vaal Haz, Tobi, Legiana. Outside of IG/Bow I cannot really make an argument, I just don't have the playtime with them nor the expertise to back up an opinion.
