Unlocking Special Arena quests

So far I have done every single quest out there including those from NPC's up to 8 stars. I don't meet all requirements for all 9 star missions yet since I am only HR 44.

I noticed that not all stars were marked with an orange complete but with a blue one. After some digging I noticed that I haven't unlocked all special arena quest. For example I still need to do ALL 4 star special arena quests, but I can't do them since I haven't unlocked them yet.

So I tried Anjanath since he is a quick kill. I already had logged some captures and kills but wasn't sure if all captures were low rank either, so I did a capture at low rank to be sure. The special arena quest however did not unlock. I tried this with Paolumu as well and no luck.

So how do you actually unlock those special arena quests? I couldn't really find much about it.

I am aiming for the quest "The White Winds of the New World" and all in total I need to do about 10 Special Arena's until I unlock it. From those special arena quests the lowest are in the 4 stars.

Head on out and capture monsters, once captured the specific arena quest regarding them unlocks.

Already completed ones rotate out and reappear at leisure, if you captured something and no quest appeared the chances are you've completed it previously and it's not in rotation. If you havn't completed it, the quest will always be available once unlocked.

you can also try in SOS , sometimes it appears on someone else list and you can clear them that way even if you hvae not unlock that monster.

I will give SOS missions a try then for the special arena missions, the rotation thing seems to be correct, the Rathian special arena mission appeared and it was marked as completed. I guess I will have to do every single special arena mission through SOS then to figure out which one I am missing lol.

Well if it's uncompleted it'll always 100% appear in your list after your first capture of that monster, may be quicker to just reluctantly capture them all in LR/HR and weed them out cause waiting around for a specific arena quest from another player to pop up sounds more tedious, it's just annoying when you randomly completed one in an SOS or already unlocked it and forgot.

Apparantly I had not caught Radobaan from the 4 stars. I did it in a SOS as it wasn't marked as completed by joining someone else and I got the orange completed mark now for 4 stars.

It kinda sucks that the special arena's rotate and that even if you captured the HR version the LR version is still not unlocked if you didn't capture it.

Anyway thanks guys! I'm halfway through weeding them. Not all pop up in SOS but plenty of them do and are marked as completed. Apparantly I am way closer to my goal than I thought <3

So I unlocked the Special Arena Quests, completed them, and for some reason they go away after I beat them, but it refuses to give me a 100% completion for 4 Star quests. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I captured each monster and did each quest, but for some reason it keeps deleting half of the special arena quests after I do another.

You're probably missing other quests.

Basically, make sure you catch every monster in low and high rank.
And make sure you've done all the requests that pop up (in the main town and the research base). And do the quests for the researchers out in the field.

I looked at the wiki, and i did all of them. What I'm saying is i did the Radobaan quest, then the Rathian arena quest dissappeared. I did the Rathian arena quest, and then the Radobaan Arena quest went away from the list.

Yeah, they alternate randomly. Just check back after every mission to see if there's one currently up that you've not done.

So you're missing something else, obviously.

Have you done all requests from people? Including the researchers out in the field?
