and yeah do investigations cause theres the extra drops

Bring the Palico with PLunderblade. Even if the chance is small you can still also get it from them. Netted myself afew Elder dragon's gems this way . I love my cat XD.

yes, head and tail carves have 2% chance to drop and capture is usually 6%
