is this a bug or did someone really just kick me from their quest for helping them capture an azure rathalos during an expedition? lol

If someone kicks you, it should say that you got removed from the group

Left the quest, high chance it's a disconnect. It could be the host itself.

This one isn't it unfortunately because after checking the board the same exact quest was still going on.

It could be that a person posted a quest in the expedition and canceled, not sure how that exactly works since I have never started a quest during a expedition but that would be my next guess after disconnect
