Draw Attack
What is draw attack? I saw some skills can boost draw attack power and affinity.

Yeah, basically any attack you do from when your weapon is put away.

The 100% affinity boost is awesome for a Greatsword, as you do a full charge and hit with 100% crit rate for massive damage.

The Draw Attack bonus also helps if you're doing a slide attack. The first hit, anyway. :p

Thank y'all for the answers.

This skill is complimented by quicksheath, and is most effective on heavy hitting weapons or weapons that require a lot of sheath naturally. Obviously this means greatsword, switchaxe, and arguably the charge blade and hammer. As well as longsword, since its combo automatically sheathes it.

It is totally ineffective on ranged weapons because they technically don't have a draw attack.

But if you feel like you will effectively crit often without it, (such as using weakness exploit) then it becomes redundant. Once you have a theoretical 100% affinity, further affinity skills become ineffective.

Worthy notes: sliding attacks, jumping attacks, and mount finishers are all draw attacks as well, since they all require animations beforehand that sheathe the weapon. Aerial Mount Greatsword is a thing, and it's incredibly vicious in any area with a lot of ledges or a Wedge Beetle.

But you can slide and do air attacks without having your weapon sheated beforehand with pretty much any weapon, does that still count?

Sliding can only be done when you run, which is something you can only do sheathed, so no. You can technically do aerial attacks unsheathed with any weapon by rolling off a ledge with the weapon out - that doesn't count as draw - but the leaping animation you get by running off a ledge can only play when you're sheathed, and the consequent jumping attack counts as unsheathed as a direct result.
