Sounds like the problem is based on the other software/mods people have running, that they aren't willing to compromise with. It only seems random because all the info people ever spit out is their hardware specs.
Framerates are a bit higher then they were before the patch and the game is a lot more stable overall.
My framerates are a lot better compared to the release of Iceborne but theyre still not as high as they were before that particular patch.
They stated that theyre still planning on releasing further patches to improve optimisation so I'll probably see some more improvements with future patches as well.
But yeah, as with anything, use mods at your own discretion...
Well I can tell you, I never run any games with any other software running at the same time, outside of the actual operating system (win 10) and basic drivers. No discord, no obs, nothing. My system is clean. I’m so OCD, I know what every default running process does so I can tell if any software hid running processes. And before this patch MHW went from smooth 60fps to a stuttering mess with Iceborne. But for me at least, it’s back to normal performance and I’m grateful. Albeit, DX11 seems to have been completely broken with IB. But running DX12 after this patch gives me the same performance DX11 used to so I’m happy
