help elemental dmg problem

so i have this hammer called the earth ender 1 and it says it has 450 thunder dmg but it does not deal it and when i bring up my status it says i have no element at all so i need so help it also say have 0% affinity if that helps

Its element is hidden. You need the free elem/ammo up skill which is from certain armor pieces or release decorations to unlock the element.

Regardless, you should use a hammer with high raw attack instead cause elem is mediocre on hammer. If you have any non-elemental decorations, you can increase your attack with that instead.

Is the element in parenthesis/greyed out? If so, the element aspect is hidden and you need to use the free element skill to unlock it.

element dmg is dealt if it's unlocked, and only vs a monster that is weak to it.

it says 450, but it will deal maybe 45 of that to a monster that is fully weak to it. most won't take full thunder element damage though, just off the top of my head.
