Is the Iceborne update crashing the game?
I don't have Iceborne but I did get the update. I just started playing again after a long break and now I'm getting constant crashes. The first crash game me a memory overrun error, then no other error message in the other crashes. I wasn't getting any crashes before the update. It seems a lot of other people have issues as well.

wait for the patch at the end of the month, perhaps it will help
Wait what anti cheat are you talking about? It's the driver update that isn't letting MHW: IB detect your GPU so everything is being shoved onto your Processor and that's causing the crashes lol!

no its not..
don't use the fricking task manager,it can't show game performance running on dx12 hence 0%

Again I ask you. What. Anti. Cheat.

I still see people 1 shotting monsters, decked out in endgame gear at MR1. So if there is anti cheat it's not working at all lol!

dude..are you high or something?
we all know the cause of the performance problem since day 1 of the iceborne pc release
and just hours after that the cheat engine forum release the bypass which turn off the anti cheat/tamper that drop the cpu usage from 100% to around 60% and making the game playable to most people
with that bypass you can use cheat with cheat engine again, hence the cheater

Denuvo, which you can bypass by ending the MHW task from your taskmanager or right-clicking the icon on your taskbar and selecting "close window" and NOT confirming that you want to end the task for some reason
there's also an .exe floating around that disables or resets the MHW CRC, which windows 10 flags as suspicious if you try running it without first adding it to the exclusion list in windows defender

its not denuvo.....
yes denuvo hog cpu as well, but capcom then added their own anti tamper..so it's double layered now..hence the cpu is 100% all the time + the anti virus flagging capcom anti tamper as suspicious so windows defender want that cpu as well

the .exe bypass turn off capcom anti tamper, but not denuvo

Denuvo isn't anti cheat, and it's not what has been causing the problems that the crc fix dealt with. It's also not what was disabled by the close window trick.

Are you going to be right about ANYTHING?
Sugoi Jan 26, 2020 @ 4:09pm
There are TWENTY FOUR threads that exist to do nothing but checksum certain parts of the game's memory, and it inefficiently jumps between them. This is the huge CPU hog in addition to the game already running an unnecessarily large number of worker threads that it has to jump between.

Denuvo is not the cause of this game's performance problems, and I say that as someone who despises Denuvo.
ZekwaldIX Jan 26, 2020 @ 4:12pm
Point taken, Denuvo is only partly to blame
I should've downloaded and ran ProcessHacker and checked for myself
just delete your mod, mine runs fine now
