Good examples of such would be AT nergi slam, or in IB Yian's somersault. Moves that come out so quick have no right to deal such obscene damage. It's a simple balance thing.
Some monsters are pretty notorious though, yeah. While I understand monsters are REALLY BIG and such, the most unfair thing I can think of in this game would be being tripped by a monster merely moving around - big props to Teostra and Lunastra for this, when they gentle gambol across an arena and trip you to the ground, and then proceed to lightly love tap you which probably kills you in the process. Can be nullified with Flinch Free though!
Run wind pressure resistance
Hit Kirin's head to trip him
Metal Raths: you're not even being specific anymore
All I can prescribe you is 5mg of git gud
Other monsters have a sign where you can tell what its gonna do for the next move.
Like, Lunastra, her 1st roar will never be Super Nova but she just warn you that next roar will be.
You can also guess if it will come early or late by how often you can interrupt her charge.
Gold and Silver have differences roar and movement patterns, once you get used to it you can react in time.
Kirin uneven floor is bull$hit, otherwise i find him nothing special.
Ehhh, Kirin if anything needs buffs.
he's only dangerous when you are parolized really.
Lunastra's nove is just like every big moves, it has a very obvious tells. She roars before nova? dont forget that you could evade every single roar in the game without evasion up and she basicaly make the same movement every time before she roars ( heads down and wing up for half a second ). Always getting caught in her wind? get windproof or stay behind her back and yes you can sheathe and immediately go superman dive before her nova although the timing is almost a split second. Or get IG and she is a joke
People usualy strugle with kirin if they are being too greedy or doesn't play possum wich lead to stun -> combo -> dead. And the lightning is not random, take some time to watch his behaviour and you can tell that the lightning that he cast is consistent depending on his attack. I find kirin the easiest with frostcraft + rath gleamsword or facetank him with loyal thunder
For the raths they actualy have a very clear tell when they backflip, it is when they are flying and aproach somebody -> stand still for a second -> backflip or backflip after an attack wich again, punishes people that are too hasty. Their roar -> blast is very predictable, they usualy roar when they first get hostile to you, when they are enraged, and for ratahlos when he stay in a ground for a moment ( because he likes to fly the whole time ). Again, you can evade their roar to avoid the blast and even if you fail, there is a window to evade to the left / right just before the blast hits
And you being not able to read their moves means that you are still learning, wich is normal and you will be able read their moves
I reccomend playing solo because their attacks suddenly becomes very clear and telegraphed
kirin tho i never really found that difficult or un fun, yea he does have alot of high damage but he doesnt really jump from here there and everywhere over and over and over again + he is fairly telegraphed
things like MR black dibble with the dig into aimed charge for like 5 mins straight only doing exactly that is the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying thing ever
Zhinogre and other monsters have similar move that you cant block, but damage is smaller compared to Savage Devilhjo.
Try do Zhinogre Arena Chalange MR 6 with Lance to see how many times he uses what move and chips health bar away by little.
That move is unfair for me.
You know you could pull him out from the sand over and over right ? and after she try to get out she will fly, and then you proceed to flash her so she slams the ground. She may build resistance to flash but not from the pull when she is digging.
This also works on normal diablos
i know how to fight it yes, but when its literally that one move for 5 mins i just gotta watch the ai spam for 5 mins straight
also i dont really like having to use 20+ screamer pods
savage jho - if you dont have shield then just always rely on the dive then just wait for him to get tired ( yea his breathe has a long range but atleast u can get a little bit of distance if ur going for the dive dodge )
lunastra - always expect her supernova after few mins and prepare some wind resist deco everytime ur gonna hunt her .. im also annoyed to her but ey its my fault of not using some counter build
kirin - he is easy and pretty much easier than luna his lighting has warning where to hit and u can pretty much destroy him if u punish him after missing his lightning attacks ( thunder resist stuffs will help and use prioritize nullberry after getting hit by his lightning because its an easy faint once u get for the 2nd time )
gold and silver - they're annoying since they spam poison and fire attacks but they're not that big deal ... rathalos is easier to deal than lunastra and gold rathian is still the same as rathian always using her tail to poision u but its easier to predict if she's going for it the only problem to these 2 are their fire attacks when enrage
The only other real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'd call out is monsters getting a full body hitbox on charge attacks. Just way too easy of a cop out, you tell me to not try and clutch while enrage but give ♥♥♥♥ like 20 meters of hitbox whenever they feel like it
