Guild Palace - what weapons are worth crafting?
Arena quests are a crime against humanity so I'm not doing them more than is absolutely required. Are any of the new guild palace weapons actually worth the headache?

Guild Palace Lance is a beast.

Bow is best Water Bow until Safi. Beat out Laguna Shot quite a bit. But you gonna need a lot of good decos to make it works.
It actually doesn't. It almost does though, so both end up being about equal. Laguna's element with custom upgrades is just too high to beat

It's better than ruiner, but we just don't have the slots to take advantage of the fact that you need masters touch + NEB + offensive guard 3 + handicraft 1 + WEX 3 + Crit Boost 3 + Critical Eye 7
I heard the SA is good, but I don't see it. Gold Rath and Ruiner Nergi's SA's are so much more powerful and have so much white sharpness that there's no way it can catch up.

Switchaxe is just about even with the gold rath switchaxe actually.

It has a bit lower true raw but is elementless and has purple sharpness, paired with masters touch that's roughly a 11.5% damage increase you can consistently upkeep, ending up higher than gold rath. Gold rath gets that huge poison though, so it depends on the matchup

No, Gold Ian and Ruiner are way better in terms of raw power, and Coral Pukei is better than Guild in terms of element. However, it's still a p ok SA, but like, more top 5 rather than #1

Not true whatsoever, the EFR is pretty close to being exactly the same really.

All of them. But then again, I am a hoarder.

I hope Safi'Jiiva isn't "competitive" like Kulve Taroth was. I.E no racing to do everything first, or be the first team to crack her horns etc. A proper group effort where you just do whatever to kill it or repel it or whatever.

The biggest buzzkill about Kulve was the fact I didn't like the feeling I was racing against the rest of the session to do everything first, to earn the points as quick as I could. It was bleh.
Messed around with Honey MHW Iceborne.

As far as GS goes Royal Venus Blade is superior to Immovable Dharma, at least with the gear I can make.
I looked at IG for a friend and it's the same logic.

In short: the extra crit makes these very valuable for weapon classes that benefit from raw damage.

Actually, everyone in the session benefits from the progress now, so long as you participated in at least one fight while there, obviously the best rewards come from your group killing, but it won't matter who kills first, Everyone wins. His fight is far more about breaking parts then just mowing him down as quickly as possible.

reward system is redesigned dont worry. but partbreaker 3 will be king again on this siege fight. but its much shorter for 1 run with a decent team.

reward level now only determinates how many of the shown weapons you can select. you no longer get em all. you can at most reward level only choose 4 weapons from your rng roll.

sidenote : 1 weapon of the type you wear when ending the siege is 100% safely given this time. unlike rng taroth. however you must still select to keep it. its not free.

That's cheered me up immensely, thank you!

So, how does this Awakening thing work exactly? You mentioned it acting as a slot of your armour? Is that a universal type thing or does it randomly get matched to an armour set?

I.E Safi weapon with "Slugger Awakening" on it means only 2 pieces of Diablos Gear is needed for Slugger Secret?

Or is it like, universal in that I wield that weapon and every single armour set bonus has its requirements reduced by -1? That sounds a bit OP if so because of certain armour set bonuses that only need 2 pieces of armour anyway, etc.
