Are Tempered Monsters in Iceborne overtuned?
I feel like even the slightest of a love tap sends me barreling away, even carted away, and this is me with Health Boost 3 and 850+ base defense. Using melee weapon as well so -Damage Taken applies. Meanwhile as ranged? Hah...

Going into multiplayer vs Tempered monster, everyone is literally playing footses and when enraged? Time to get out.

nha, if anything they have to much health. I would trade them being stronger in damage or speed for them just having 10k less base health.

It is ok the game being hard. But wtf is this that now you need optimal damage builds otherwise you finish in 20-30 minutes. I can already see everyone starting to play that new stupid glutton build.

Unless you're actively facetanking tempered zinny backflips, HB3 is plenty against them. I fought GL tempered elders without any HB and the only one i managed to cart to is Luna.

I killed story mode Velkhana with defender ig in 13 minutes. I don't think their health are overtuned, and needing optimal damage builds to finish a hunt under 20 mins is far from the truth. If you did AT monsters in HR, you should be able to finish MR hunts in about the same time, maybe a bit more.

Tempered Savage can't oneshot me at 165 HP, tempered Kirin enrage nuke can't aswell, idk could be investigation rolls but there is no actual instakills on anything.

I mean I can take 2-4 hits before I even need to heal... I'm sitting at 913 Defense unbuffed and 998 Defense fully buffed for defense. If you add in HB3 and I'm not tip toeing at all.

Also weapon aug for health regen and you can just out heal the damage if your not just getting hit 24/7 and i mean if your getting hit more then 1-2 times in a combo you should die so if anything they need to buff their damage but thats most likely going to be added with w/e we get to replace AT MR

Tempered doesn't increase health anyways, just damage. And there damage feels pretty low for the most part for me so far.

Tempereds don't have that much health modifier, if any. I have a tempered azure rath investigation and that one has 24k health, which is only about 3k more than the regular version. Heck, for all i know it could just be an investigation modifier. It's unlike AT where Nerg's hp jumped from 7k to 26k.

So you should still finish your hunts in about the same time as their regular versions, especially if you have a decent build (doesn't even need to be damage-optimal).

I suggest you check better. It depends on the monster but it can go from 5k to even 10+k.

Now in iceborne the monsters already got an huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ health buff. This a was completly unecessary.

Tempereds can also have less health because of investigation rolls, but on average they have the same amount of HP. Which is why base game tempereds took the some amount of time as regular monsters.

Not on avarage. And we are not discussing in this thread about how the rolls for monsters stats work.

Also please share with all of us the avarage times stats you seem to have.

Are you doing theses temp hunts in the guiding lands? because 850 defense is super low im at 998 none guiding lands and 1248 in the guiding lands.

Yes we are not, we are talking about the fact that tempered monsters have the same HP as their regular counterparts and thus are only more difficult if you get hit a lot, which from the looks of it you do.
