Masters touch vs True razor sharp
so i got my narga set all set up with the TRS bonus but when i looked up end game build's a lot of them were using teostras masters touch so i was thinking what the difference between them was and should i switch narga's bonus for teostra, cuz both of them just prevent sharpness loss right? or am i missing something?

100% is better than 75%, especially with most endgame weapons hitting only 20 hits purple.

So you're saying teostra's MT is better and more potent?

Yeah, the Teo 3piece is also better skillwise than the Narga 3 piece, so there's no reason to run it on Blademaster if you can get Teo gear.

Master's Touch is better than True Razor Sharp as long as you're able to get 90 to 100% affinity. Anything lower would probably yield nearly the same result.

Alright thanks! seems like its time to farm Teo now.

Dunno if i can manage 100%, with max critical eye and attack boost lvl 4 im only getting up to 45%, granted i do have maxed out WEX which will help but i don't always hit weak spots or tenderize them but we'll see how it goes.

There's some weapons that can hit 70%ish affinity so you never lose sharpness on weakspot hits. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Teo pieces you will use being Head, Arms and Waist will give you Latent Power 1, which is 10% affinity and triggers fairly frequently. Pair that with Agitator of any level and it's all dandy.

Thats a good tip, i've been mostly focusing on crit eye and attack boost, gotta optimize my build even more it seems, thanks!

doing the optional quetst (the houskeepers questline), you can get a charm with the Razor Sharp skill, so you can combine the 2 bonuses ^^

Tho the charm slot is a valuable space so its up to you if its worth it or not.

just speaking for lance, dont know how it transfers to other weapons.
you can get 100% affinity without tenderize (odogaron weapon+teo armor+expert lvl 7), thats fun but not really necessary, used that build until nergi.
nergi lance + armor is just much better damage and has enough sharpness to stay white until a monster leaves, even without teostra set.

if your using something that either cannot crit like gunlance or CB phials for damage, Razor sharp from narga would be better in terms of retaining sharpness. for pretty much everything else that can benefit from critical hits, master's touch is OP.

ranged weapons also benefit from the true razor skill from the spare shot portion of it. free ammo in the mag at random can be glorious sometimes.
