Fastest way to get Rathian mantle?

I keep fighting rathians in MR and breaking everything but I dont find the part. Most recently, I beat a rathian in the Arena, and instead of dropping mantle as a bonus reward, it dropped a Rathian Ruby (rarity 7). The other drops were all rarity 9 and 10, but the bonus reward was rarity 7. I am getting frustrated. Any tips on getting the mantle? I know the elder melder offers it but I do not have the item needed as currency for that, and it does not even list what the item is, since i dont have it. I just know its not the gold wyverian ticket. My MR rank is 5.

You need the Celestial Wyvarian Print.

I got one from the Steam works, and haven't gotten another since then.

The weekly bounty seems to be rewarding Golden Wyvarian Print still.

So the only method left would be just grind. Run investigations with more gold boxes.

yea i have been following rathians around collecting footprints for 30 mins but it gives me investigations that dont involve a rathian. Weird rng.

Or you could have stupid luck like me, and pretty much get all those rare items firs try! Only one I didn't get first try was Ebony Odagaron Mantle =/

i've burnt out 2 5 box, 5 try rathian missions with 3 gold boxes and no mantles yet.

I just tried the steamworks thing with 1800 total fuel and got 2 celestials!!! My journey is over. I guess the steamworks luck compensated for my bad luck with hunts. I can finally stop hunting stupid rathians now!!! Yayyy

try mine with 20 rubys but no mantles

If you're going for rathalos or rathian mantles, go for pink/azure, they seem to have somewhat higher drop rates.
