Plays fine on my side too but for some reason it just wont run on borderless and whenever i want to look up a quest on chrome i cant because fullscreen alt tab crashes the game.

What your specs and drivers? Im using latest nvidia CES drivers that's supposed to be for iceborne, but i rolled back to other drivers but it still crashes when alt tabbing or windowed

Using the latest Nvidia Drivers too

Specs are: i7-8700 // GTX 1070 8gb // 16GB Ram

I kinda got it to work on borderless though i dont know if i run it again will it work but i managed to run it the first time by weirdly enough going to nvidia control panel, adjust desktop size and position choose full screen, override scaling check then i ran iceborne. Its gonna look like its windowed atleast it was for me, exited and unchecked the override option ran iceborne again and its working now.

Upgrading to Win10 seems to make iceborne eat all the ram too which is weird.

Hmm, we have the same GPU, might be something in the driver, using DX12 path and high res texture pack btw
Also, ram usage is normal on my end, at most, my memory usage maxes around 10gb, with few browsers running in the background

Using DX11 because of special K to reduce cpu usage but so far not really doing much. Iceborne seems to eat up until 8gb while my background process is generally maxed at 5gb so theres still some left which is weird but for some reason mem usage is at nearing maxed.

Wow, I have almost the same specs as you. 3570k, GTX1070, 16GB RAM and Win 10. Plays great in Fullscreen, but wont start in borderless or windows, or with DX12 enabled. Crashes if i alt tab, but otherwise runs buttersmooth on max graphics settings.

Got the same specs but no issues here: https://i.imgur.com/HjLq3Q1.png

Bad luck I guess, idk :/ I'm running latest drivers too but I haven't updated Windows 10 yet, still on 1903.

try Borderless Gaming and see if it works, it basically forces your game to run in borderless.

Is there any difference without the high-res texture pack? Mine appears to run fine with i7-8700k, 16gb ram, windows 10, gtx 1070. Also I'm running it in directX12 with the res at 2560x1440.

Out of curiosity, go to Steam\SteamApps\common\Monster Hunter World open up graphics_options.ini and set Screenmode to Screenmode=Borderless, make sure the res is right, frame is what you want (30 or 60), and vsync on or off. This way the game SHOULD boot borderless

I did this, set it to borderless res is at 1080 60fps vsync off and once i try to load it, it shows a windowed mode black screen then just crashes.

Do you have any mods installed? Do you have any crash reports in the "Logs" folder within mhw directory?
