sadly the guiding lands are not really that good for getting decorations, i have many threat two tempered investigations with 5 rewards that take 10 minutes to complete

I've been doing the event quest where you have to capture 6 Pearlspring Macaques lol. Done in 1-2mins and has a chance to give you those decos.

Exactly this. Guiding lands gives you a considerable amount of decorations if you waste a lot of time there (and it's good because you leveling guiding lands too), but if you're focusing on farm only lvl 4 decos then go for temp investigations, it's easier and faster.
