Seriously, these people are all anti-mod fanatics. Apparently because like 10 people are transmogging gamma this game is dead now, even though it's at a steady 50k players and has been constantly top 10 on steam.
I understand disliking people modding gear in, but transmog does nothing for gameplay, and modding gear in does NOTHING to you. As of right now, the only way to crash another player intentionally without actually hex editing your wp_dats is to use gamma armor, which is easily solved by using the quoted crash fix.
Capcom has already stated they do not care about modding, take it upon yourself to fix the issues with the game that you can until capcom fixes them.
I never crashed in hundreds of hours. this afternoon i ctd'd 3 times as soon as someone joined mid kulve hunt, now reading this thread i learn this is no coincidence, totally 10 people out of 50K right :D
Did your VAC ban came from "modding" as well?
Well, Im not affecting anyones session, sure you see my transmog but Im not harming anyones game in the slightest
If you want an idea of what I can do, theres this wonderful option in the player list to "Inspect Equipment"
Say what you will, nothing will change the fact that this is Capcoms fault. Transmog was perfectly safe before the update, they remove armors for no reason, then everything goes bad.. Next time they could leave stuff alone, or add this mod as a feature in the first place and we wouldnt have this problem.
Yeah, lets ban the 54K+ different people that use the transmog mod to no ones harm. THAT SURELY WONT hurt the games playerbase at all. /s
At the point where there are 20-40K people left who actively play the game, Im willing to bet that at least 15K still are using the Transmog mod for honest fashion like I do...
Im also willing to bet, those who want people who use these honest mod users banned are a VERY VOCAL minority.
I use MHW Transmog to look like the Kirin B armor. I'll never use anything not safe for a normal save file, meaning no armors that you can't currently get in-game. This method is 100% safe for everyone. As far as transmogs, people want to look a certain way on both sides of the screen, and as long as they don't harm anyone in the process, why care? This WAS the case with the gamma armors, but then capcom removed them in the update (causing a disturbance in the force, and a lot of save files).
Now capcom basically said that we had to use transmog and mods at our own risk and that they wouldn't provide any support if we screwed up our game. Thats fine, nobody asked them for help. Somebody else found a fix (which was only meant as a crash fix to allow people to get back in the game and change their armor - not to continue using them). However, what Capcom did turned a harmless tool into something that could potentially crash other player's games, even regular players. While the people still using gamma armors online are at fault, Capcom is 100% to blame - especially for taking such a lazy a$$ neutral stance.
For the people who can download the fix, just stop whining and download it. Your game won't crash due to the gamma users anymore. If you can and won't, have fun!
There's a spreadsheet for the transmog that specifically lists what armors are okay for multiplayer and which ones crash. People mogging the gamma armor even though it was listed under "WILL CRASH THE GAME" are the folks people should direct their anger towards, not those that mog safely and unintrusively.
The instant that I can't trust what the server is sending me, because of a change you've made. You have reduced my playing experience.
Just because you don't see yourself as malicious, just because you are not actively trying to make the world a worse place, does not excuse the action though.
Again. I ask you.
Why do I have to see the armor you want me to see, instead of the armor you are using?
If it was simple vanity, and only was on your end, fine, no problem. You step over the line when you cause changes in what it sent to me. Things like interstate commerce laws come into play, as well as contract violation. You are aware that you did authenticate a contract in playing the game, right?
Live in an underground bomb shelter. The internet itself can't be completely trusted, neither can people, so isolation is the only answer. Even then, you can't completely trust the food and water. You can only trust yourself to be unfit to adapt to situations that may arise.
I'll say sorry, excuse me or ask someone to forgive me if I've wronged them in some way. In this case I don't need to do that. I use transmog, yet after the update, I didn't need the fix and since I haven't played online yet, I still haven't downloaded it. So I don't need to have my actions excused and neither do the majority of people using transmog.
The reason you have to see the armor I want you to see (aside from you already answering that in your question); that's how I want my character to look.
Capcom didn't even say not to use transmog programs or mods when they were made aware of them, while also knowing they had unimplemented armors which could be taken advantage of. Then they removed those files (don't tell me they were just naive and didn't expect people to replace them). They sh*t on their own contract and took the opposite of preventative measures, so don't expect them to save the day when they created the recipe for disaster in the first place by not giving a sh*t.
If you'd stop playing MHW because you couldn't cheat yourself stat swapped armors anymore to play dress up with your barbie, then perhaps there's a more underlying problem here. Are you playing a female character by chance?
You show your own ignorance. Transmog does not give stat Swapped gear. It uses a rigged system of the Veiled armors like Samurai armor. You don't actually wear the armor you transmog. So you can be using full Nergigante, but look like Zorah Mag Beta armor. Try not to confuse or lie. You will be found out.
You have a hard time processing things it seems. For starters, never said Id quit. What I was getting at with that quote above is that if they banned the 54K different players who used that mod, the games playerbase would drastically decrease and that would be a bigger problem than any topic being talked about in this thread right now.
It also seems you have a hard time looking into things, so you just assume and look like an idiot. The MHW transmog mod forces the armor into the layered system. Inspect my gear in the player menu, and you see what Im using.. Not the transmog. Not sure if it allows you to see my equipped layered items, but if it does... It would show you the same thing it shows me, Odogaron in my layered.
Yes, I do play a female character... Where else do I get to see a badazz female with a huge sword and dope armor?
Jesus you sound terrified of the internet, I think you would have a much better time being playing offline and being uninformed under a rock.
I've already answered your question, I dont like looking clownish, to you, or me. Take 10 seconds to inspect my equipment if u wanna see what I can do.
As previously stated, Im not harming your session in the slightest, you're just looking for something to whine about so that does excuse the action.
