its however not advised to get it from charm because you can have up to 3 other skills of your choice on a charm, even something as basic as attack which could be combined with normal up as a decoration or the diablos legs.
so in short, its not worth it to have the normal up charm.
instead go for something like diablos leggings, and kaiser B gloves, and dragonking eyepatch A if you want exploit weakness 3/3 and normal up. this leaves an open charm slot to complement and fill whatever else you would like with those 2 skills. (and thats already looking like a halfway decent general bow build)
If you want Normal Shots, wear the Diablos Nero Greaves B until you get the decoration. But Spread Up is better than Normal Shots so I would advise going for the Lavasioth Greaves B instead. Then you can pretty much run anything for waist that fits your build. If you want more slots, Uragaan Coil B gives a level 2 and a level 1 decoration slots as well as 1 point into Part Breaker. Diablos Greaves B is a good one too for even more stamina management since it gives 2 points into Marathon runner.
In theory, spread is better, IF you consistently hit with all arrows of spread shots. I actually end up often doing a dash > normal > dash because I am not positioned well to put all the spread shots into a weak point, and it's not worth the stamina usage.
Very often I'll end up doing dash > normal > dash > normal > spread > ... because only about half of the time will I be in a good position to shoot the spread shot.
I actually would prioritize normal shot for elemental bow just because you will do this every dash dance cycle without fail, while sometimes you'll skip spread.
Anyhow, OP, a good all-around elemental bow build is:
Rath Soul Helm B (Azure Rathalos)
Rathalos Chest B
Kaiser Gloves B (Teostra)
Odogaron Waist B
Diablos Nero Greaves B (Black Diablos)
This gives you 3/3 weakness exploit, critical element, critical up, Critical Eye 2, and Normal Shots.
Your best gems would be Spread/Power Shots gem in the gloves, Mighty Bow Jewel in the pants, enough [Element] Attack gems to the point your elemental attack doesn't go up any more, and then fill the rest with Critical Eye gems.
Neckalce slots are way too valuable to waste on either a single 3 slot gem or 3x 1 slot gems.
As a bow/hbg/lbg user you can get 6 gems worth from the weakness exploit 2 charm. Then you put your 3 slot gem in the teostra glove B to get either normal or spread shot (and wear the boots for the other if you use the bow specifically).
You need to upgrade the charms at the workshop.
