Pros and Cons (datura blossom or princess rose)

Hi.

I'm kinda into poison sns.. and i found these two somewhat.... being toe-to-toe. Can anyone help me decide?

Royal Rose
266 bloated atk

10% affinity
lvl 1
base round slash dmg of 70

Royal rose will do better as a general use weapon, and still proc poison plenty, doing 24 poison buildup a strike, which will poison a kushala in 6 hits.

Datura has slightly better poison buildup, but that barely matters.

Only use poison weapons on 3 star weakness monsters as well, it's trash on 2 star and 1 star.

I'm using datura with poison attack lv3, made it 480 poison and I know it very well that it's still useless.

High ailment attack is borderline useless because of the thresholds.

You forgot that Royal Rose also has access to white sharpness.

Well, i guess everyone says royal rose is awesome, even the guy who has datura III says so,

Not to burst your bubble but if you REALLY want to do poison there are better weapons for it.

The Datura Pike III is 540 poison per hit (think it goes to 660 with 3x poison gems). If the target is *** poison I can put the monster into a poisoned state very quickly. I've had the poison trigger from this weapon three times before the first application wears off as poison is the only status that will just add more duration.

but... that's a spear right? i mean lance. I already have that lance that kinda spins which is dragon element i think.

i try to make an element/ailment per weapon so i have a choice when going for hunts

It's only worth doing that on fast hitting weapons, and going for high ailment handicaps your damage immensely.
