Help. Tzitzi Yaku's flash...

Temporarily causes stutters. And I don't mean my character. A minor nuisance but still annoying.

First off, what's your PC specs?

Second, there's a guide here somewhere that gives excellent tips on how to adjust your settings perfectly. It's by Ruby something.

You might also wanna install the Special K mod since that mod seems to have helped some people's performance, including me.

Before update: everything is fine
After update: Tzitzi flash and Xeno laser beam cause micro stutter on release of the attack

Mine's a little different. It microstutters on the wind up but then smooths out on the execution.

Sounds like your gpu can't handle the sudden whitening of the screen.

I think so maybe OP spec can't tank as I use a 980 oced version didn't have any problem with the game.

I'm getting the stutter too (just tested with "A flash in the Pan") and i have a 1080, it's not much (Steam's little fps indicator drops from 75 (my max) to ~70 for an instant whenever the tzitzi's flashes), but it's noticable.

Pop onto the "A flash in the Pan" Event Quest and take a look for yourself, see if you get it too.

EDIT:
I tested it a little further, the stutter seemed to be happening regardless of whether I could see the flash or not, so it's likely either a CPU thing (seems unlikely since I have an i7 6700K), or even an engine thing (possibly an innefficient hit detection algorithm).

Just tried Xeno as well, exact same stutter (Micro-Freeze may be more appropriate), Only on the short "pulse" lasers and the instant one of the longer "beam" lasers starts, but returns to normal even while the beam's still active.

Fireballs, and even the big explosion when he falls in the ground didn't shake the fps at all.

Just tried Val Hazak assuming his laser/breath would also cause the same issue, strangely, it doesn't.

It's a new bug that apparently doesn't affect everyone. I had no issues with the tzatziki flashes before but now they cause a tiny stutter at certain points during the flash attack animation. It's most obvious in the flashpan event quest since there's 3 of them spamming flash. It's similar to the temporary bageljuice part breaking bug we had before but much, much less extreme. I can live with it until it gets fixed (if it does) and won't bother with driver changes for now.

The same happens with any laser attacks from Xenojiva, this never happened to me before the 2gb update. (1070, i7-7700k, 16gb ram)

lol, it's not like that's an intensive effect. Either way this started for some people (myself included) after the most recent update.

Try defragging your hardrive then see if it stills happens.
