Why people think that insect glaive is good ?

I mean when I play it I feel useless and bad, but my friends play this weapon and they feel good but for me they are useless too. I made new friends but they'r just worst. Help me plz. Why can't I like this weapon like the others, I want to play it and be happy with my friends :'(

I only find it to be bad when an IG user tries to force mounts with it all the time and do nothing but that.

its not like insect glaive offer buffs, easy mounts and have actually good dps when the kinsect its used correctly.

also its not only offer buffs but heals and status thx to the kinsect.

Depends on the playstyle. Insect Glaive works amazing for me because it fits what I've deemed as the "morer aggressiver" playstyle. If the monster is fast and aggressive, be faster and more aggressive. If the monster is faster and more aggressive, be fasterer and morer aggressiver. Insect Glaive is nice for that because the attacks are quick so I can roll out of the way, but I've also got enough mobility to constantly pound on it.

IG has insane DPS. It's stronger than most weapons. Before it was nerfed in MH4 it was the best weapon in game.

Insect Glaive doesn't do tons of damage quickly like other weapons, but if gives you so much sustained damage and mobility that it feels broken when you know how to use it. Especially when you can pretty much leap up onto the back of any monster whenever you damn well please, not restricted by other means like needing to be on a hill or a cliff.

IG is capable of fantastic pressure if the user doesn't suck.
If you think it's a bad weapon avoid it, enough bad IG users.
